This mainly done out of curiosity. See, i figure that there has been a lot of surveys done in the past among furries, you know, about sexuality and that sort of thing and blah blah blah. But i was curious to if a certain sign would be more prominent as a furry. Stranger things have happened!

I'm a capricorn personally.

Aquarius, nothing special, except that one of the cons of being an Aquarius is (in my opinion) that we tend to enjoy our self company, other than company of others. Sad, but true wah wah wah!

Other than that, I like my zodiac sign.

I'm a Pisces. I was born on Feb 26th, though I was due on Feb 8th and should have been an Aquarius. When you look at the characteristics of a Pisces though, they fit me just right as opposed to those of an Aquarius. I think I was supposed to be Pisces. XDD

Scorpio bitches! Also, I see you are using the old dates. With the new dates I am Libria or something, which is bs!

when exactly did the new dates kick in? wouldn't they only count if you were born after the change?

The new dates only count for new babies. We are all still what we were born as. :)

There are no "new dates", someone pulled some misdirecting BS and the press went apeshit on it. (Slow news day!)

There are TWO zodiacs, 12 month and 13 month. Traditionally, 12 month is used by the general populous. But someone pulled a fast one and said "oh look, we 'changed' it to 13"! Really, nothing changed.

We don't even have 13 months so how is that even.... logical? XD

Have to keep in mind when the Zodiac was defined. Back then, there were various different calendars, some with 28 days every month, some with 13 months. Heck, take a look at the Chinese calendar, it has double-months, where one month occurs twice in the same year! So yes, the Zodiac is old, well before the Gregorian calendar was established as a standard.

The date you're born has nothing to do with your personality or what happens to you. everyone my age who was born in May is NOTHING like me, and generally our daily events are very different. Its your life that shapes you, not some stupid balls of radiation and gas in space that could burn out any minute.
Maybe we should switch to zodiac like messages to perk up your day,
"Cancer: You're a beautiful person."
"Taurus: Never forget, you're strong inside"
"Leo: Every day is a chance to live your best"

Well. Some people hold hope or beliefs in different things. I have seen quite a few similarities between people and their sign descriptions but i myself hold no value in them other then something amusing to read and giggle about now and again. Though i don't think its particularly appropriate to essentially call down those who may actually believe in this stuff. I do like your "positive reminders" idea though. People need more positivity int heir lives.

[All is stated as oppinion like any essay, it is not a report nor is it based on fact. my thoughts are stated for no reason other than insight into my life]

I PERSONALLY find the concept of following or believing in a piece of text with no moral value because of your birth date to be strange.

In summary:
believe what you want, all you got was my opinion. some call me dumb for believing that I'm a soldier of god who will fight in the final battle... just because its farfetched. Find your own path in this world, and don't believe different because of what another person says. believe in your own morals and thoughts, even if it means astrology and zodiac, Nature and life, or God and angels.

My opinion: Astrologers are like politicians; They try to say things that appeal to just about everyone without saying much at all or promising anything.

In astronomy class we had a brief section on astrology, just because it is slightly relevant to the culture of astronomy. We went in to al the reasons Astrology is bunk (including the fact the doctor in the room has more graviational affect on you than the nearest constellation) and all the experiments done to prove it.

If you don't believe me, I offer an experiment: take all the daily predictions, remove their signs from it, put them in a hat and mix them up. Start taking them out after and read them, seeing just how many of them apply to you in general or apply to your day in general. More often than not all of them will apply to you in some way.

Now, I by no means believe in any of this, but I'll go on how we can have a 13 phase zodiac.

The main zodiac isn't based on the months, but which constellation region the sun is in. The sun moves across a path in the earth's sky called the ecliptic, and it's shadowed by certain constellations during the year, roughly matching those in the zodiac.

HOWEVER, the zodiac itself is based on the ecliptic's position about 5000 years ago, so this has given rise to a new concept called *sidereal* astrology, that is astrology that is based on *actual* positions in the celestial sphere, instead of the tables and charts drawn up from Greek history. This is because things tend to move in space. The earth's has a precession about its axis (imagine how a spinning top tilts from side to side), and the sun has movement in space too, and drags us with it.

Right now, for instance, the sun passes through Sagittarius in late December and early January. And through the constellation region of Ophiuchus before that, in mid November.

Food for thought.
