I had a weird dream last night...I feel like sharing, and if you have had a dream....feel free to share.
Okay, so it started out with me being at my high school. Wondering and interacting with the people, it was at night time at this point and we were in the back field of the school. Then suddenly the school was on fire! We all watched the blaze from a hill top, then what appeared to be a purple orb, zooming in and out of the school, causing all the chaos. Flames were rising out the windows and was able to feel the heat from the burning building. The school was now domolished, but the purple orb had a flight path. Flying towards us, outwards into the woods, where it pulsated into a bright light, then exploded like a firecracker.
After that I woke up, feeling a little startled from the event in the dream.

Doesn't sound all too pleasant. My dreams aren't as fun either; really, I dislike dreams. They tend to be really sad, even though I am an optimistic person. Most of my dreams involve me becoming really alone. I don't like that.
The best dreams I have are furry dreams (if I ever get them); fursuits and all. I had one I was wearing a fursuit. I don't have my fursuit completed yet, but soon it will be. Its my dream :)
I had a dream in which I suffered horrible brain trauma and my world was reduced to an etch-a-sketch level of comprehension.
If only you could actively choose what dream you have instead of letting your subconscious wrestle your mental control from yourself...
My favourite dreams involve being chased somehow, and everything turns into sprinting/parkour as if I was someone from Yamakasi (NOT a Japanese film xP) or Mirror's Edge.
Ever tried lucid dreaming? People who can lucid dream can control their dreams to a great extent...
Some of my favorite dreams involve levitating/flying! :D
Who here had (what I like to call) bookmark dreams? Basically it's a dream, but here's were the weirdness steps in. Have you ever woke from your dream (for any reason), and as soon as you start sleeping, you wind up where you left of in your dream? Awkard, huh?
I remembered that there was a certain time when I was still several years old, about 3 to 4 years old methinks, and I kept on having exactly the same dream for several nights straight.
It's something to do with cruising down a freeway at night before pulling over and stopping in a dark parking lot within a forest.

At one point that happen too me as well.
But the dream was, I was suspended on a crane and the the driver tortured me by dropping me in a pit of spikes, and as soon as I got close to the spikes, the driver would halt the drop and reel me back up. Then the routine would carry on. And I knew that I was crying while it happend.
For some reason, the only thing I can remember about my childhood is one dream X3
I can't remember many other dreams in my life... uhm.... Wait.. the ones where I get ripped apart by bears.. for... a whole year of my life...
..and the nightmares... hmn... anyways, I digress X3
Backstory --- When I was ~1 year old, I was using my first computer. I was playing some.. kids game.. all the time.. (Yup, even at ~0.5 years old, computer! :3) And... I THINK I couldn't read properly.. so.. you know how in lots of games, point and click especially.. you get messages that pop up with an annoying sound? >.< I freaked whenever I heard that sound, and.. yeah.. X3
Maybe a reason I'm so... squeaky.. IRL.. X3X3
Dream --- Anyways, a few nights later, when I was sleeping, I was on the computer, as always, and I was playing.. that game X3
I was about... 20.. or so seconds in.. and I got the error message... .w.
My interpretation was essentially... very abstract X3 I think I had.. 7.. counts.. to escape.. or else... I died? .w.
At the time, anyways... my house was really weird too... Is that what it really looked like, or my mind making up stuff.. which it always does in dreams in familiar places :/
I think I was always at the door, then it suddenly ended.. I think.. I died? My mind was really.. underdeveloped at the time, so... X3
My current interpretation - I think the error message said, essentially "You have 10 seconds to escape, or you die." X3
I then ran towards the door, and the computer self-destructed.. with.. a hydrogen bomb inside.. X3
And then I died instantaneously, and woke up .w.
But yeah, it was stupid, but it's just so.. vivid X3
I think I had it for a month in a row or something X3

Usually most dreams are simple, but yet play a major role in our lives. Even if their settings tend to be awkward to our own imagination, or in real life.
@Matt - I guess so.. but.. I kinda haven't had memory of any recent dreams.. my most recent one I remember is... uhm.... ... X3
Eeps.... Maybe... 2 years ago? ;w;
I need a dream journal or something.. X3X3
And there are other dreams in which they are annoyingly bad - well, not to the extent as nightmares, but just pretty damn annoying. It's almost as if you're freaking out within the dream, but when you wake up, you feel pretty pissed off that you had the dream...

See what I mean? I always have dreams that I'm back at my high school during university breaks. Every damn time. :(
@Tef - Ahwrrr... I tend to 'dream' about getting up and getting ready for school... only to actually be 2 hours late in getting up, and have to bike to school.. which is at least a 30 minute bike ride away... and still be really late >.<
That happened... thrice.. X3
With that same dream happening.. more than 500 times.. X3X3
More often than not, though, I get up at 7:29, which is about one minute before the bus arrives, so I run down my abnormally long driveway.. to have the bus pass the stop at the end >.<
I need a new alarm clock that works more than 4/5 times :/

I've had the same experience, but once I woke up it was already past 12 pm, I was able to catch 2 out of 4 of my classes on that day. XP

P.E.....brings back memories about my PE teacher: Mr. Train. There were times that I herd that this guy was an alcoholic. Wondered why? If he was.
My PE teachers were pretty good.. hated the class still though...
I had a dream that I forgot to mention.
Funny enough, the dream was pretty much a racap of what I did at RF, it was one hell of a dream X3
I have had a lot of dreams that usually result in me being some sort of "last survivor" or being hunted by someone or something, seems many of my dreams go the horror route with me usually facing my fears weather it be crazy violent people, demons/ zombie apocalypses or even natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanoes.
On the flip side I have had many dragon related dreams, one which I as my human self actually ran into my dragon self, was just crazy cause we knew who the other was and that we were one in the same. But my favorite was dream where I actually transformed into my dragon self and had to learn how to fly and maneuver around, was a real crazy feeling dream ^.=.^
last week I had a weird dream and I've been thinking about it a lot. So I'm just going to type it up. :| yeah.
So me and Skywind and Brittany and Matt (we lost him right away though, and didn't find him again because his pixel paw changed color so we went "screw it, there's no hope in this crowd if he isn't neon green anymore") took a greyhound bus and went to this BREAD festival at this supermarket, except it was this HUGE supermarket that doesn't exist! Or at least not one I could identify as an actual place I'd been, It was like if they made IKEA a supermarket, but just the end part!
We ignored all the other food displays/games/attractions/whatever because we came for the bread tasting! Sky said "some of them have MEAT baked in them!" and that freaked me out for some/no reason. The bread tasting event had all these tables lined up against the back wall (which was mega long) with loafs of bread of different kinds set on plates with their name tag behind them and a person standing behind each to cut you a slice of their corresponding bread.
We started at one end and read our way through the dozens and dozens of types of bread but the one's we stopped to try because they looked good or had a cutesy name always had something WRONG with them by the time their bread slicer sliced a piece and handed it to us, like it disintegrated or the meat in it was raw and garishly discolored. (Sky was replaced by two non-furry friends of mine, his dropping out of the dream was uneventful)
We didn't get to try ANY bread until the last three or more and two of them tasted like stale croissants and cardboard and the other one we decided not to try because it looked like a chunk of upholstery foam colored rock gray with acrylic paint. But the slicer of that bread was like " Naw, kids, try The Gray Man," (it was the name of the bread)
I asked what it was like and he said "Fabulous and almost deathlike. Very deathy" and Brittany went "I'm all about that!" or something and all four of us tried it. The Gray Man tasted like if you could make RAIN a cake flavor, so Brittany bought the only four loafs for sale at the bread festival (dream logic told me they had so little of it for sale because not everyone made it to the end of the row of bread tables to taste The Grey Man even thought there was nothing suggesting any of the crowds there couldn't walk up to which ever table they pleased to) and we left.
We all left Granville Island (it dream shifted to a different location) and while we were leaving I said "Sorry that sucked so much. The apple tasting tomorrow will be WAY better"
But when I woke up shortly after, I realized the Apple festival was still four days away!
Do you guys ever get that thing where in your dream your at a later date but the awesome thing you were expecting to happen momentarily or when you wake up turns out to be much further away? It's really bizarre and disappointing.
Very deathy? Purple, you are SO special.
I had a dream that I was eating sunflower seeds. I woke up and went to get some but I was out. It was extremely disappointing.
For real, though, I have dreams where I'm smoking. No matter what else happens, I'm just smoking two cigarettes at once. The moment I wake up, I get an extreme craving for tobacco, and search madly for a pack of smokes before realizing - I don't smoke, and I never have. It's actually really disturbing, and I find if I have a smoking dream, I'll have a really shitty day.
I've definitely had similar dreams to that, Murph, but i used to smoke so it kind of makes sense to me.
Anywho I seem to have lots of dreams about going to adventures and losing my cats, and my boy friend being super chill about it. It doesn't make any sense because he loves them just as much as I do (if not more).
In one of them the whole city I live in turned into this huge mall where there was a carnival being held inside and I was running away from police. I kept running and running and then hid behind the "whack a clown" game center thing... I'm not sure why i thought i was safe it was like... in the middle of the mall's hallway. When I looked behind myself there was a doctors officey kind of place and one of my old friends was in there, they told me I needed to go see the other moose. (seriously... wtf) So I broke into a run again and found this really cool store with awesome jackets and super soft blankets. I climbed up one of the big blankets because it was hanging off a rafter and met a moose-man who was sittin' up there just casually playing Zelda (or something VERY similar) like seriously, an anthro moose with a fedora on... weeeeirdsville, mang! Anywho, he told me I was safe up there so I snuggled the blanket we were on, and then I woke up...... I don't know what the heck it means... if anything. o.O
. . .
I should seriously analyze some of these dreams for you guys.

To see a cat in your dream symbolizes an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. It also represents misfortune and bad luck. The symbolism is different depending on whether you are a cat lover or not. To dream of losing your cats may represent the fear that you are losing these characteristics of your self while you are conscious.
To dream you are at a carnival represents falsehood and deception. If you observe freakish sights, then it denotes a lack of harmony in your life. Given that you are running away from these things, perhaps you are avoiding the deception in your waking life, rather than confronting it.
To see a moose in your dream represents long life and longevity. It may refer to the elders around you. Alternatively, a moose indicates that you can be both powerful and gentle. You exert your power only when it is necessary. In this context the moose is a comforting and positive symbol. In your dream he provided security and a warm cosy blanket!
;D
Hope that helps.
He sure did! Thanks Renwaldo! :3
I occasionally drop into lucid dream cycles, which are annoying because they aren't the most restful sleep... and I tend to involve things nearby. I had one dream the other day where I had the impression I was in a group of people with a lot of toys and was trying to sell these toys to people, but then couldn't figure out which ones were really mine and which were for sale. Being that I sleep with a couple of Lion King plushes on the bed, I distinctly recall having a whole bunch of them around me as people were trying to take them all away, and finally going 'Hey, that's my Nala, I know because when I took the tag off there was a bit left..." then woke up to find myself with my Nala sitting on my chest.
I honestly can't imagine what anyone in bed with me would have to deal with if I went into one of these while they were around... though I know I nearly kicked my brother's ass once - we were sharing a hotel room and I was having a dream that I was chasing someone . When I grabbed him by the collar at 3 am he woke right up and shouted at me before I could sock him in the jaw...
Something I've dealt with in the past were recurring dreams. I had one that had me being dumped in the middle of this huge factory and left to find my way out, which was nearly impossible... that one really upset me when I had it.
I keep having dreams recently of having cocaine and getting high off of; not sure if its a good dream or a bad dream.

haha yeah dreams have an annoying habit of screwing with you like that, cant even remember the last time a had an awesome dream that wasnt just an attempt by my subconscious to try and screw with my head. I actually just had a weird dream though not too long ago, you know that stephen king movie "IT"? I had a dream I could turn into that clown thing at any time and just completely destroy people, not sure if I even want to know what that means lol

I had it before! And, I totally know what you mean by scary! I try not to panic, but it's hard when there seems to be weird voices mumbling in your ear and the fact that you can't move your body at all.... :(
I just woke up from the most awesome and weirdest dream. First, the awesome part, during the first few minutes of the dream, it started to snow, and heavily never the less. Now for the weird part, with other students we were having an assembly, then suddenly, there was gunfire. Bullets were flailing across the gym where the assembly was being held, and after minutes of trying to dodge bullets, I finally wake up.
...didn't really realize this but I have a lot of dreams that are school related, why is that?
Dx I hate dreams they are always creepy, nightmares, me getting trapped somewhere or something weird
I've had one good dream in several years *glares at dreams*
My last ones were about me getting stuck in an abandoned building, a car crash and me losing my eyes

That definitely makes sense if you're still in school, its where you spend alot of your time and where alot of things in your teenage life happen, hell even I still have nightmares about my mandarin class :'(
My latest dream reflected the time I had to wait for my elevator to arrive to take me from my apartment in my dorm to the ground floor.
I had this dream in which I was in an elevator which is taking a helluva long time to go down that I might as well mistaken it for being broken. The doors were closed and all that but I was more annoyed and pissed off in my dream than scared that I'm going to be locked inside the steel cage for eternity.
Now I wonder why I wasn't scared.

Yes.
Either last night or the night before, even. And I have experienced it, to various extents, many times in the past few years.
Really, I have a sort of love-hate relationship with it. On one hand, it's absolutely terrifying when and after it happens, but on the other hand I <3 any and all of the weird offshoots of parasomnia. It's so interesting!
Now, the real question is, does anyone here have Exploding Head Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome)? (Because I totally do, maybe).

Yes! I usually get that when Im starting to doze off. The odd time I'll actually dream of myself falling but most of the time Im not dreaming of anything, I just get this weird sensation that Im falling and then I jerk myself awake and almost kick something over lol.
I've got a furry dream. I was on a bus with a bunch of perceived friends in fursuits (and I'm like the only one without one lol) and we arrived at this shopping mall/convention place. We were walking together and I was overly ecstatic for some reason and sprinted ahead of the group. When I looked back, they were all gone.
I woke up feeling annoyed and a bit sad.
I had a weird All Dogs go to Heaven/Oblivion cross over type of dream a couple of nights ago. All I can remember is Anne Marie jumping down some well looking for Charlie but ends up landing in some lava, but she somehow manages to jump onto some rocks unhurt. Then on some platform type thing, Charlie is looking for Anne Marie, and which that point I woke going 'wtf?'
My favorite dreams, however, are those that involve my characters in whatever story I happen to be writing at the time. There's been times where I'll dream up whatever scene I'm about to get to, or one that I just written.
FURRY DREAM!!!!
This dream is simple....a lot of fursuiters wondering around in Whistler village, some were skiing (or boarding), some were dining, and partying. Which my dream ended with a large house party in a mansion...what an awesome dream :-3
The other night I dreamt about eating ham. Just walking up to a container of sliced sandwich ham and mowing on it. It was damn tasty too.
It's odd, I know that the dream was long, involved, and that the ham was only a tiny portion of it, but that bit is the only part I remember. XD
Sometimes I have dreams about Disney fur characters; you know the ones roaming around theme parks. It's usually Robin Hood or Kenai, and they always follow the same pattern: I end up finding the characters somewhere (on the street, in Bear Creek Park, right outside my house) and I try to meet them, but I never can get to do it. Something always gets in the way: maybe I run off to get my camera or just then I wake up. I used to have these dreams about other characters, but they stopped happening once I actually went to Walt Disney World and met them. I think these two chaarcters pop up consistantly because I never did get to meet them despire my best efforts and fondest wishes to do so, and they will probably still fall into those reoccurring untouchable nocturnal roles until I can do so in reality.
Sometimes after a furry event I have dreamt that the event continues long after it had actually ended. After the first ElektroFuzz, I dreamt that we all went back to the dance building after it was over and kept going until 3AM when we were kicked out of the building, and then for some reason decided to go up on the roof of my old grade school and partied there. Another time I dreamt that after bowling we all went out to a coffee shop and sat there watching somebody play guitar on the stage. I think these dreams happen because I normally enjoy the local furry events so much that I do not want to see them end.
Last night I dreamt that I went to a furcon...in Hawaii. Despite the expected heat, everyone chose to walk from the hotel to the convention site in suit, although I did not recognize any of the suiters. Things did not go well however as there was a running knife fight on the convention floor and we were all held hostage by a terrorists.
Last night i had this dream where i was walking through a forest and the trees started bleeding. i remember thinking that was odd because usually trees keep the ground dry but this was the opposite, didn't tip me off that i was in a dream though. Tree blood is black and it was starting to puddle in the low parts of the trail i was walking on and i avoided touching it cause it might be dangerous. i tried leaving the forest but kept getting lost because i can't really navigate in dreams. The sky started turning a really deep red and then i panicked and ran around scared shitless until i woke up.
Had a dream last night that a bunch of people and me were laying half of our faces and one hand in hot frying oil as Gordon Ramsay shouted things at us like "What is another name for 'flank steak'?" ... It was very odd.
I'd love to have a Gordon Ramsay nightmare with him screaming his F-bombs at me for the entire night. xD
I had a another furry dream, and for some strange reason, it was taking place on a bridge. Remembering the dream, there were Furs on both side of the bridge, and also they were waving. So I waved back as I crossed the Bridge, aaaaannnnnnnnd......I don't really remember what happened after that.
Why is it that for the last week, I had dreams that I was with a bunch of furs from the BC Furries community? Well, not at once, but a dream with one of the furs per night.
It's amazing that I still managed to remember the dreams even though it was quite a while ago.
