Some of you may have noticed this morning that your electricity wasn't working. Well it turns out that there was a massive power outage in the Vancouver region, as well as White Rock and the 100 Mile House. Vancouver and White Rock should have received power by now, but sadly the 100 Mile House won't until 4pm, according to BC Hydro. (poor Rain and Buddy D:) Where you caught in this massive power outage? If so, where abouts are you in BC/Vancouver? I live right by the Joyce skytrain station; about 9 of my friends, 4 alone living in the same neighborhood as me, also didn't have electricity. According to BC Hydro, at around 8am this morning, the cause was unknown, has there been any updates on that? Speak up!! (if you got your electricity back, which you should have x3)
I am on the Island. No power outage here. Buwahahaha!
No outage in north surrey. All my clocks are still set.
Nothing in southeast Vancouver that I was aware of - everything seems to be about the usual here.
Probably should have mentioned: it was this morning at around 8am, ended at about 11am. Out at the 100 Mile House, they should have gotten electricity back at 4pm. 3,500+ people effected in Vancouver, 5,000+ effected in White Rock, and all of the 100 Mile House, which is... however many people live there, lol. But yes, that's the deets about this morning. :P
Up till 11am huh...I don't remember a power outage in UBC for all I know. The lifts still worked fine in my dorm apartment.
Power was fine in Seattle!
I know this was a few days back now, but our clocks got knocked out that night. It couldn't have been for long because the analog clock on my stove is still mostly correct, but all the same we must have lost power at some point. I slept through it. :-3
