So, I don't know if anyone else felt it, but at 12:41 today there was an 6.4 earthquake off the coast of Tofino on the Island. I'm sure any furs that live close to the Comox Valley would have felt it. I know I did! So, do you think this could be a lead up to that 9.6 that we are meant to be getting soon? Scary if you think about it.
Here's the link to the earthquakes information.

That is kinda scary...funny too, because me and my family got back from the island yesterday. If we stayed one more night, we would of felt it.
It wasn't a huge shake, but it was enough to shake my school. Nothing that threatening.
well, yeah, but c'mon, speculation is fun, :p
I didn't feel it!
it originally was noted on the US and CAD official earthquake sites as a 6.7. Then they brought it down to 6.4 XD
But yeah. My aunt and uncle are on the islan, didn't feel a thing. I didn't feel a thing. My parents in squamish felt a little. XD So yeah. lol
I'm kind of disappointed I missed it. I was sitting at the computer when it hit and didn't feel or notice a thing.
???
However people at the store were talking about it all day, they were all worked up about their houses creaking, lights flickering, figurines in the china cabinet being off centre. One woman claimed the office tower she worked in was swaying.
It was a nice change of conversation at work. Most of the time all they ever want to talk about is the temperature outside.
I didn't get rattled so much as I got wobbled; My suite's fairly high up and I was home at the time. Felt like someone was gently rocking my seat, and one of the planters started swaying. Bizarre, slightly disconcerting feeling. Nowhere near as intense as the 5.6 I was around for in San Jose one year, though that one was basically right underneath me.
I may have felt it. But i have a rambunctious two year old jumping up and down causing my floor to shake most of the time, so i wouldn't have noticed, partly because I've never felt an earthquake, in waking memory. But i'm guessing I didn't.
I was asleep at work at the time but some of the people from the office claimed to have felt it.

My Turn - The media seriously needs to learn this, some stories I saw and heard yesterday went from covering the event to walking along the fine line of outright scare mongering.
Hah me and my friend slept through it. Didn't feel a thing |3
Whoa. i just read about this in the 24 paper today. I didn't even notice it. Was it felt down in South Surrey? I was probably still sleeping then....

Sleeping in the afternoon? :o
I felt it while watching a movie. I literally thought the cat jumped on the couch.
