What's happened there is really tragic, especially when you go into some of the details. The bomb went off first and caused a lot of damage to the government building and given it was such a shock to the system to have that sorta attack happen, so much so that they were rejecting 911 calls that weren't related to the bombing. This meant that the youth camp people who were trapped on the island with this gunman were ignored initially by 911 operators who were dealing with the 'real' emergency before they realized the equal-if-not-worse severity of the shooting on the island.
Guy's a right-wing anti-multiculturalism nut too it seems.
