So today I was doing dishes and I noticed that the carpet in my living room was damp and there was a bad smell coming from that area which was partly covered by a cabinet. Well it turns out that a pipe behind my kitchen sink has been leaking for some time and that area under the cabinet had started to mold.
Soooo I sprayed some very expensive fungicide (almost $30) on the carpet to keep it from getting worse but it needs to be steam cleaned as the carpet is really stained and might need to be replaced down the road.
The steam cleaner rental and supplies are going to run me like $80-$100 and I barely make enough money with my day job to pay for food and rent and my credit is very slim at the moment. I can pay for the cleaner with my credit card but I will need help paying it off.
So I am offering Name Your Price sexy badge or camper badge commissions to help me pay back the cost of the steam cleaner and other supplies. People who order more than one badge will get a free sketch as well with their badges.

Renting a Rug doctor is like 30 dollars for a day and don't bother buying their carpet cleaning chemicals and waste your money.
Rental of the machine for day is $30 with a deposit prolly.
Go buy a jug of Woolite or really good washing machine detergent. It does everything carpet cleaner does and its 1/4 of the price.
I always use whatever I have that I use for my clothes. It works just fine do a small test spot but I have never had a problem using good laundry detergent and i find it works better then their carpet cleaning chemicals.
Just make sure you use DETERGENT.. anything else will just foam up like crazy!

Hopefully you can get the landlord to do it. ... If they aren't like my landlady. I am still waiting on a tree trimming and I asked two months ago.
Okay update!
It's not as bad as we thought and yeah all we need to do is clran it and the land lord will probably be reimbourcing us for the rental cost. Do if you guys still want a commission they are still available by donation but are not emergency any more. Thanks for all your help guys

Tried it and it worked really well, just scrubbed it in and left it for the evening. The landlord is providing me a rug doctor tommorrow and the pipe is being fixed soon. I was panicking earlier but things are working out now haha.

Landlord is providing me a steam cleaner and hes fixing the sink. Still a pain in my ass though, at least I won't have to replace the carpet.
