Lol no cheating either lol , you must use an actual Program like GIMP, Photoshop or Paint, or what other paint programs there are to create the banner.

Of course, THIS is a job for Flash, then, since animated GIFs are 256-colour, right?  One little Flash app at the top of every board page making the logo-ears wiggle isn't that much, right? ;)

You can get more colours out of a gif by dithering.  Of course, with a solid colour logo, which most decent logos are, you'd only use maybe half the colours up, even if you anti-alias'ed the logo.

Ewww... dithering... XD

Yeah, I'm sure we could do it, but should is probably the relevant question. ;)

Unition deserved to win. It looks like he put in alot more time and effort on his. Since I know making a animated gif can take a fair bit of time. Especially when you add ALOT of flashy graphics to it.

Those graphics were added in afterwards?  I thought he just took a video of his awesome room and put that up.. :O

for one, "Wula" There are alot of people who use thier phones to view and post on the forum, and Flashy isnt necessary good for the phones and im sure people dont want to wait forever for it all to load. What i did allows people with SMartphones to load the forum much faster (using less internet time) and post what they want. and since time over the net on a phone costs alot, im sure people dont want to be loading animated Gif's.

i stand my ground.

I know how that is... though, I found a big fat meal helped a lot.  Survival competition instinct kicks in when you're hungry, even if you don't realize that you are, at least for me.

I used to think I was really desperate to always be connected through all types of technology. But to now know people waste alot of money for internet on their cells or whatever since they can't wait to post till they get home. It has made me not seem as desperate for technology when I am separated from it longer then 12 hours.

I have (effectively; 6GB/month) unlimited internet on my iPhone for $30/month. I consider it worthwhile. If you don't, more power to you.

Aditionally, some of us don't have time to be on the internet when at home, need the internet on the road, and like being able to respond to new items for sale/giveaway wen they're posted.
