Have you received an unwanted call and want to figure out who it is? These websites allow you to do reverse lookups on phone numbers to try and identify who the caller might be.
For those of you who might get a lot of telemarketing or other annoying phone calls just save or write down the number from your call display and then go to the sites and put it in the search engine.
You might not get a result every time but when I try all these sites I usually get some kind of result back, its saved me from trouble more than once and some of you might be able to make use of these.
1.) Number Investigator - http://www.numberinvestigator.com/ (http://www.numberinvestigator.com/)
2.) Phone owner - http://phoneowner.info/ (http://phoneowner.info/)
3.) WhoCalls? - http://www.whocalls.info/ (http://www.whocalls.info/)
4.) Who calls me? - http://whocallsme.com/ (http://whocallsme.com/)
Many other users submit reports so if you put in a number from a known nuisance caller you might get dozens of results. You might find out company names, location, other numbers they use etc. . .
This is a brilliant idea! ;D
From this day forth I shall no longer hang up on telemarketers! I shall instead call them and provide my own much needed marketing service!
Lmao that's awesome, thanks! :D
800notes is a place where you can report telemarketers. (public forum, not associated with anyone like the CRTC) I had a telemarketing company associated with Fido call me twice a day until I registered myself on the national "Do Not Call" list. That didn't stop a scammer from calling me from a fake Toronto number though.

I think JR Digs did this and stayed on the line with a telemarketer for well over an hour.
