What. The. F♥ck.
So I have been like semi banned or something for not having a real name?
Who says, Shadowwolf can't be my real last name. Maybe it is? Hmmmmm.
Any ideas on how I can get this problem fixed?

over and out~
You cant =/
The Books' is really strict when it comes to names.
Only way is to wait it out and put your REAL name so you dont get perm banned.
Problem fixed. I am now known as "Brittany Wolfe"
WHO'S LAUGHING NOW FACEBOOK? YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. I OWN YOU.

Surprisingly, due to the fact the Book has millions of people on it, eventually they'll come across oddly named profiles and decide whether to put a temp ban giving them time to change their name or removing the profile completely. I had one person on there who had his name by what people called him when they saw him in person, and the Book literally just completely removed it, so he had to make another one altogether. Now he's just got the previous name in brackets beside his real name.
A former friend of mine got in trouble with Facebook. ... Except she did have her real name on there. When she got married, she took her husbands name "Chick" and Facebook thought she was lying. I think she eventually showed them her ID through email and now it is cool. XD
I havent had a problem with failbook since joining and I had to change my name to my alias, no real name being connected to my suit & fur identity. Cant seem to get hold of them to change my name back to what it was.
Good riddance. I don't add people to facebook if they have a picture of a fursuit or a name like "SuperYiffwolf65"
To quote my roomy lemony: "Why won't I add you on Facebook? Because your profile picture is a dogcock"
Facebook is for real people and real events, not furry inanity.
My Failbook doesn't have pictures of dock c♥cks. I actually use it for real failbook stuff.
Like photos of myself, friends, co-workers, and keeping connected. yeah. Not furry stuff. o:
Just sayin' not every furry posts furry stuff on theres.
/edit/ Actually I have one or two photos of a fursuit, and some of my sewing projects but that's it.

isn't furry part of who you are though? o_O just seems weird to not have furry stuff on a profile about yourself. Unless you're a closet fur. Also, a fur name does not necessarily have to be exclusively furry. just sayin'.
My friend's name is Princess <name>. seems weird that they would semi ban you for something like that, especially with so many people having internets privacy paranoia.
Whoa. After hearing this, I'm definitely not making a furry-specific Facebook account.
The hell is a 'closet fur.'
Look kids, much as furries like to take on a persecution complex, being furry is not nearly anything close to being gay. It's not something you have to 'come out' over. It's an interest, not a core genetic thing.
I'm hardly secretly a fur, I live in a fur house and my parents are aware that I go to conventions. But guess what? Even though furry is fun, it's fucking weird to a lot of people. A lot of people who I don't deal with often enough in my daily life to clear up any misconceptions. So when you start posting furry stuff to your face book, you are creating room for people to make negative assumptions about your lifestyle.
I also tend to have a negative opinion of people who are a 'fur first.' That is, they have a much more well developed fursona than a real personality for daily life. This is why I don't add those people to facebook often.
I'm not sure I completely agree that furry isn't a core genetic thing, but i certainly do believe that facebook isn't a place to be furry first. Do that on myfur or whatever its called.
I don't let my furry lifestyle intrude on my normal lifestyle. I keep my furry stuff with my fur friends. If I hang out with furries, I am a furry. If I am hanging out with normal people, I am a normal person (To a degree). If I am hanging out with my kandi kid friends, I am a kandi kid. My Facebook is about me, not my fursona. My fursona doesn't exist, and therefor doesn't require a Facebook profile, since my fursona is just a part of my imagination, and is how I see myself in my head and not physically.
closet fur is an actual term that i heard somewhere.
To the same extent I don't mean everyone should have information on their furry lives in their facebook, because yeah, that is weird. but there are certain aspects of furry-ness that are more accepted than I think most people (furries especially) realize.
Case in point, I would totally put up a picture of an anthro fox in an album (probably labelled artwork or something equally lame and generic) and caption it "this is what i would look like if I were an animal. person. yes." and then all the people I have on my facebook that care, would make jokes about why I'd be a fox if I were an animal person, or state their opinions as to why i would or wouldn't make a good fox. It's been my experience that the only part of the furry fandom people find weird or disturbing is the dressing up in mascot outfits and having sex part. Possibly the using dog-penis dildos. That probably doesn't help much at all actually.
long story short, I honestly don't see the problem with referring to your fursona on your facebook profile. It's still a part of who you are. just like people in the SCA use their period name in with their mundane name, so as not to confuse other SCA goers. that's always a good time, cuz then then mundane fb people have no idea who the SCA people are referring too. it makes me giggle.

<unpopular opinion>
Seconded. </unpopular opinion>
i wouldn't necessarily call that an unpopular opinion. I believe having a more developed imaginary persona is called being fake, :b and last I checked no one likes fake people. except other fake people.
just to clarify, I'm not supporting the idea of using your facebook profile for your fursona; but I don't see anything wrong with having furry-related things on your profile, if you're comfortable with other people knowing about it.

My fursona name is on my facebook, as is my mate's. In fact, we often use pictures of our fursonas as profile pics. I only add people I am actually friends with on Facebook, and if they can't handle me being a furry, well, why would I be friends?
It's a big part of who I am, and I suppose it always has been, in a way - even before I could put a name on it. Same with me being a lesbian. I've always been this way. Sure, maybe it's not a core genetic thing like being gay is, but it's a big part of my personality, a big part of me, and if I can't be open with my friends about it, well, what's the use of having friends?
Friend = blind acceptance to you. Interesting.
