: Collateral damage with IP range ban? Admin help needed.
: Selkit May 06, 2011, 09:19:07 -06:00
I seem to have been hit by an IP range ban without warning, and I have not been notified of a ban by E-mail. I'm fairly sure I haven't been doing anything naughty enough on the forums to warrant an actual ban, so I suspect I may be collateral damage; The affected IP is 69.172.167.234, and I'm on currently through Tor; A non-Tor connection fails to resolve altogether. I've confirmed that most of my other contacts have no difficulty currently connecting. Can someone clarify for me what's going on here, please?

Disregard. Spoke with Unition by phone, confirmed it's not a range-ban issue. Woo, more ISP teething troubles. Troubleshooting, away we go!

Edit: Confirmed. Issue is with TekSavvy's DNS. Tor and/or a DNS swap to Google DNS rectified it. Lovely. :P

This might explain the problems that others (e.g. Master Coal) were having contacting bcfurries.ca on the weekend as well.
