I was too young to even know this show was on TV, but 19 years later I stumbled across a comedy show classic that was way ahead of its time and will forever be my favorite comedy, Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). Its a show staring a guy by the name of Mike Nelson and his two robot pals Crow T Robot and Tom Servo. The premise of each episode is the same, they watch old and bad movies while making hilarious commentary.

The first couple of seasons up to season 5 werent as funny as the others, at least thats what I think. When the series started, there was Joel. The back story to the series is that both Joel and Mike (Joel first), were working for Doctor Forester; a mad scientist. He shot them into space on a satellite OF LOVE, and forces them to watch bad movies. Later in the series, Joel escaped and then Mike took his place. This along with other changes (such as Crows voice changing) happened through out the series. If you want a good laugh on a boring night, youtube or google some episodes. They run about a hour long since well you watch the whole featured movie along with Mike and the Bots. Crow is my fav out of the three, he always comes up with the best zingers XD Some episodes they even make fun of a short film before the featured one. Heres a little taste of why the show is so damn awesome.

My introduction to the show was catching the Pod People episode one night around midnight while channel surfing. I was hooked ever since. I always liked either Space Mutiny, Jack Frost, or (like everyone) Manos the most. Favorite quote from Space Mutiny: "And our brave hero roasts the disabled man."
