Hey gang!
I've had the Vfur meet video done for a little while... I've just been hesitant to post it on Youtube without running it by you guys first. Any suggestions?
Ludro
You could post it here, so the community can view before showing it to the public. Any of the Events boards cannot even be seen by people who haven't been approved.
OH Oh, I gotta see this. Please post soon X3
*earperks*
OoOoOH Shiny! I wanna see too!
POST EEEET :P
what the title your going to use?
"Party Animals"?
as soon as I figure out how, I'll me more than happy to lol
Well, when you post, there should be an "Addition Options" drop down, then you can attach a file.
Okay.. I'm looking up additional options.. I see Notify me of Replies, Return to this topic, Don't use smileys, Lock this topic, Sticky it or move it... nothing so far about actually attaching a file... the closest about that is "insert hyperlink" or "insert ftp" which I'm not that familiar with...
I think I fixed it. Have another look.
Aha!! there we go! :D
Oh... the video is 92 MBs in size >.> I'll have to try to split it up somehow
Okay.. made a smaller version.. which turned out to be 41 mb.. anyone got suggestions on compression splitting?
Depending on how good you are though you don't have to be professional, you can use VirtualDub, this is a program that I use allot. You will be able to shorten and split you video and also change the codec to your video and audio. Also did I mention it is a free program (I believe open source). I can give you tips if you need some.
Virtual Dub (http://www.virtualdub.org/download.html)
hmm.. something for me to look at.. I'm using Pinnacle Studio because I'm used to working with that but the other program might help...
Well with Virtualdub it is mainly for encoding.
Can't seem to find my way to this video thingie, but yeah - I know how to do all sorts of video recodes... I do them ALL the time at work, for work. Everything from DVDs to H.264/QuickTime, RealPlayer, and Windows Media streams, raw DV.
Let me know if you'd like me to try and work my magic to make it a bit more bearable. n.n
Does anyone want to try making something out of my raw furmeet video? Or combining my furmeet video with others?

I have a Mac Pro at home with the basic stuff (iMovie/iDVD, Handbrake, VLC, etc.) and a G5 at work with $1,000+ worth of software. Final Cut, Episode Pro, etc. (I have no idea how to use Final Cut. XD) <.<;
How raw is raw? DV tape, already digitized, VHS..? :P
Well, raw as in MOV and AVI right off the digital camera.
Depends what the AVI format was (hopefully not one of those horrible Indeo codecs), but MOV is obviously right up my alley. ;)
If you want, you can IM me and send whatever files you like and let me know what you want me to do with them, or we can meet up at some point. I really do need to probably start meeting you guys. XD
All the recent ones are MOV. Older ones are Motion JPEG.
I'll set up a private webserver and give you the URL, ok?
That works. n.n MJPEG should be fine, too.
I've got my compilation of the April Furmeet video for a while.. I just haven't been able to upload it due to the size(and I've forgotten about the splitter programs otherwise I would have uploaded it already)
Actually Rat, could you let me know that URL so I can upload the video I made too? I could do that at the Furry Granville Invasion vid I made.. I tried uploading that to the site, but the connection seemed to time out... and I can always redo the formats.. the Furry invasion vid is a 14 mb .wmv file.. but I can always recompile it

If you want, you can IM it to me and I can see what I can do? n.n I think I have all mine on the left.. going to bed in under an hour, though I'll be on all day tomorrow at work.
oh.. mine's a very finished product :P I used Pinnacle Version 12 to put it together(as a Celtic Dragon Production(tm) ) >:) O0
Okay - I mean, I can fire it through a bunch of different codecs at different bitrates and stuff to see, but I'm sure you can probably do the same, then. <.< You know, H.264 type deal.
Well, when I put up the my website I'm just sharing certain files on my drive. If you want to send me something large, probably over IM is the best way.

That's basically how I run http://kithop.no-ip.com/ (http://kithop.no-ip.com/) - just the built-in Apache server in OS X on my home connection. So like.. a 1Mbit upload. ;.;
Either way's cool with me.
it's all good either way... if I was feeling good I would have brought the april vfur meet video to the May furmeet.. but oh well..
Can you connect to one of the IMs in my profile, or Skype chris.stubbs5 and I'll try to receive any file you send.
Added you to MSN provided Caps aren't an issue...

Okay - here's something very quick I hacked together just today and tonight. It's obviously not ALL the footage, and there's a bunch of good stills in there too that I don't know what to do with. <.<;
Does anyone else have any more footage they want me to splice in, and how should we do credits, any other title card type things? n.n;
(MPEG-4/H.264; QuickTime and VLC should play this)
