Mistaken .5 mLs for 5 mLs when cooking?
I have.
'Doesn't turn out well. :J
I once mistook 3 tspns. for 3 tblespns. of salt.
That was a briny batch of gingerbread men, let me tell you. :-\
Yikes. I've mistook one ingredient for another before. Can't remember what it was, it was a while ago.
when i was really young i did not put flower in cookies >.=.<
This morning I inverted the amount of oatmeal to water... so then I ended up just making more oatmeal than I had intended. I only ate half of it. XD

I'd hope you didn't put flower in your cookies, they'd never bake properly. They might smell really nice though.
i know someone who was making a recipe for green salsa with garlic, and because of the way her printer mangled the text it read like.
"twenty green tomatos,
three chilli peppers,
fifteen whole fresh cloves o-*printer cut off the "OF"*
Garlic,"
instead of "15 cloves of garlic" so she used "cloves" the spice and a spoonfull of garlic...
it was gross.
once when I was very young I mistook salt for sugar when I was making cookies.
they weren't that great, but I ate each and every one of them! ><

Flowers in cookies are surprisingly good if you pick the right kind. I've made rose extract and orange blossom nectar wafers before. Oh, and lavender shortbread.
Back on the "Cooking oops" field... I minced habanero peppers by hand, then went to wipe a bit of grit out of my eye with the same hand. The grit suddenly became the least of my worries.
i once used red wine vinegar instead of red wine when making a beef bourguignon, it ended up being very very sour
I thought I was making pancakes but apparently I was reading the recipe above it for homemade syrup.. I kept wondering when it was gonna thicken up.. I was 9 :)

Have you ever gone to the bathroom after mincing hot peppers?
Yeah..
Don't.

Don't.
I laugh at your pain. :D
This is why i don't cook. This is why i let *you* do it all.
A friend of mine had a similar experience after trying some super nasty hot sauce at Sammy J Peppers on his finger.. then using the urinal.
Ran out of milk and butter so tried to make Kraft Dinner without it... ewwwwwww.
Woo, fresh one; Pulled off this fit of stupid yesterday.
That bottle I picked up to swig from while cooking? Hot kitchen, have a beer, kjempegood. The one about the size of a beer bottle? That was not a beer. The beer's about a foot left of it. It's actually a bottle of memmi. Stuff's concentrated, salty Japanese fish and soy sauce. And no, the beer won't wash the taste you can feel behind your eyeballs out, either.
ooooooooooohhhhh.... :-X
If it makes you feel any better, I ate a whole bowl of worms once.
er, lol, why?
