Saw Rango today - I've been watching the trailers with interest, but was trying to keep my expectations from getting too high. I needn't have bothered - it's fantastic!
The story's fun, the animation is really good (though I *did* spot a stutter in it at one point - considering it's ILM, that's kind of surprising), and the acting is so much fun. Highly recommended!
Plus, I got a Rio trailer (that should be fun) and the new Kung Fu Panda 2 trailer, which looks great. More Tigress! Whee!
Seeing it next week probably =3 Wish i was in 3D =(
Seriously, this movie would be hurt by 3D... it's got vivid colour and bright lights that would be completely muted by the 3D process. It looks gorgeous flat.
So was is Rio and thats coming in 3D.
Yeah, and I'm looking forward to Rio as well - but I suspect it won't look as good. Plus, those of us who don't have good binocular vision don't get much from 3D anyhow except occasional bits of depth and a mild headache. =P
Lol bad eye sight *points*
???
I got to see that movie in theaters. It was amazing. The animation was so vivid.
The colors, the graphics and the story line was very cute. <3

Best Western Ever. Too bad it wasnt actually Clint Eastwood XD
Way behind on this, but I finally saw it last night, and I loved it!
OMG you guys are in the future look at the time lines, and ya i seen Rango loved it, i especialy love Beans Survival reflex.
Like many of you I only discovered this film a short while ago. For me it's been a few months, but still, I can't believe I ever discounted this film as not looking good enough to see. It's a victim of poor advertising, that's for sure. You'd think something as good as this could stand on it's own without any support from mass media building it up, but I take this to be one of those times (much like Pixar's UP movie) where the media actually did harm by not showing ENOUGH of the film.
To clarify, I loved the thing to bits. I still watch it every so often. In fact, I have it stored on one of our computers in the store here, so that I can watch it again at my leasure, lol. I can't say enough good about it. The all-star cast really brought it together, and for being a western, you'd never expect it from the way that it begins. A nice bit of subterfuge on the part of the dictor. Kudos to him, Johnny Depp, and everyone else at the production company. Love it. See it, now!
I just watched it last week. I enjoyed it.
