: Moving to Burnaby! (movers? locals? free stuff?)
: Dinsu February 03, 2011, 02:00:29 -07:00
Hey furries!

I'm moving from Downtown to Burnaby on the 15th and I had a few questions for the locals.

Is there a cheap and good moving service around here? We don't want to pay over $100.. The two places are about 20 minutes apart and we don't have much stuff as our current downtown condo is only 500 square feet.. (and we're paying about 1000 a month for it ee; )

Who lives out in the Burnaby/NorthSurrey/New West areas? Our new place is right between deer lake and central park, above Metropolis. Do I have any new furry neighbors? ;)

Also I was wondering if anyone (or a group? lol) with a truck would be interested in helping us out. We can move our stuff anytime between the days of Saturday the 12 and onwards. The things we need to move that are too large for our car are: a dresser, a desk, and a foldable table.. Probably only one trip worth.

We're students so we don't really have a lot of money to spare.. I'm willing to trade artwork (click my banner to go to my DA) and I have a few video games I might be willing to part with (ps3, wii and a couple of PC). I could also buy a box of wine and host a videogame night for a few people that help lol! I'm also quite the cook and can make dinner for us.. OH and if you're a girl I have TONS of clothes that I'm getting rid of so you could raid my closet. :3 I used to be a medium so have lots of medium t-shirts and stuff and have lots of expensive nice jeans that are a size 12, a couple sizes too big for me now. All in really good condition to new because I wasn't expecting to lose weight. ): I was kind of into the punk scene so there's a lot of black fitted t-shirts with cool designs, and then I moved into the earth-friendly and professional style and might have some stuff like that. A LOT of fitted graphic t's though.

There might be some other swag that I want to get rid of when I get packing so I'll update this post.

Thanks so much guys!

You'll be pretty close to my dorm at BCIT if you're close to Deer Lake. Could probably hang out sometime or something. c: No vehicle unfortunately, so I can't offer my services in carting stuff around. D:

I'm literally at Metrotown's doorstep. If there is ever a meet in the mall, it is so convenient for me.

I am willing to take clothes off your hands lol I am a size medium in tops ;)

I also might take games off of you too, for the wii, depending (I am planning on getting that console... eventually..).

Best advice for under 100$? Friends and family move you. Just order some pizza and feed them, maybe some gas money if its a bit of a distance. If you are organized, it ought to be a smooth move.

Thanks guys! I added all you Burnabians to my msn. (:

Looks like I found some family with a trailer to help out! Yayyy for not having to worry about movers.

I'll probably post some for-sales/for-free soon in a different post.. Mostly clothes. I'm tempted to just donate them all but I'll see if anyone wants stuff first. (:

You can add me to Steam now. Sorry I rejected your first request, but you possibly becoming VERY local is good enough for a acceptance of an invite.

I have a Skype too. PM me for the username.
