Hi, I was just wondering what the people here would describe their clothing styles as. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my wardrobe, so it's kinda up in the air right now what my style would be, if it was just one. Mine is just kinda casual, tomboy-ish, usually sweaters and jeans. Was thinking maybe of going for a sort of goth/rock look.
How would you describe your style?
I don't have a style, save universally wearing pants with at least eight pockets on them at all times. Or kilts with eight pockets. Whichever. Oh, and shirts. The geekier the better. Or occasionally I'll stoop to wearing something collared. Or forty pounds of hand-woven stainless steel. Whichever.
I wear t-shirts too often and I'm trying to change that, but I still have a number of them that I like (<3 my MSPA troll shirt). However, I'm trying to wear button-up shirts and stuff that looks more professional (and, dare I say, adult) more often. I got a particularly nice pair of really-dark-blue Levi's 505s recently that look really sharp even in a slightly-dressier context.
I've been mulling over getting a couple of suits this year - I'm particularly interested in seersucker as a fabric for a sort of warmer-part-of-the-year suit that still looks professional.

Part of me really wants a Utilikilt, but I'm not sure I have the legs to pull it off. :) My ex has one and looks really good in it.

..totally white trash :D ....beer shirts ...shirts with bands people hate or never heard of, shirts from work usually selling some kind of oil or random auto parts ...jeans NEVER pre worn but end up looking like american eagle garbage after a week or so and a lot of army surplus clothing.
I can go from white trash looking apparel to the professional look and any where in between. I've been called a: Metal-head, Rocker, Punk, Skater, Goth, Emo, Prep, ect. Basically what it boils down to for me is: if it's comfortable I will wear it.

Traditional, liberal and whimsical. ;) For my winter wardrobe anyways. My summer wardrobe is a bit grungy and thrifty.

My preference? Jeans and T-shirts of various kinds (I'm slowly collecting more funky T-shirts, video-game related stuff and things from shirt.woot); in the summer, I love my cargo shorts. Unfortunately, work-wise I'm stuck wearing button-up shirts and slacks. But I always wear my hiking shoes, for comfort. Corporate agendas can kiss my furry butt. =P
I've been wearing hoodies more often lately, too, for warmth and spare pockets.

I used to be a punk kid then I just stoped caring and taking the time so now it's just a shirt and jeans and a good hoody. Though I am starting to get my punkish look back now. :)
i have my own way of dressing passed down through the missfit bloodlines of Ladysmith. my "Father" in the gang is my friend Alan who like me has Asperger's syndrom, his guidance realy made my style's base but i added to it to make it "Me"
typical outfits for going out are.

-dress pants (black) / combat pants (camo)
-Arm tie (bandana tied below shoulder. blue/pink/green camo)
-army boots (black. Russian standard)
-fake earings (getting real ones soon $$$. pink)
-pirate ring
-pink socks
-sash belt (black)
Those are two outfits i wear usualy.
there are some more but those are my main thing,
and don't ask about my undies.

i got my gloves in a small little store in Nanaimo last year when they closed. i have 20 pairs because they were 10$ for 5 and made of silk. try a specialty store or online.

I don't really know what to classify myself. Probably Punk-Raver.
My shirts consist of black corsets, tanktops that have to have some black on them, black teeshirts with bright colourful pictures or words on the front if they have any, and lots of hoodies that are usually black, purple, or grey with bright designs on them if they have any. And then there's my odd but super bright coloured hoodies.
My pants are usually big baggy black pants that may or may not have chains and have lots of large deep pockets. And when I mean baggy, I mean BAGGY (I have a pair of pants where I can fit my body into a single pant leg). I also wear grey or black tight/skinny jeans, or a light blue pair of jeans with a rainbow and headphones drawn on them by me and it says Rave and PLUR on them. Mini skirts that are either plaid or black and with or without straps and chains on them. Leggings and fishnets are worn with my skirts when I feel like it. My belts are usually black with studs on them that are either black, silver, or rainbow coloured. Or they are checkered with black and another colour.
I don't wear hats, only hoods. And I have a pair of rave goggles. I wear headphones often too.
My neck accessories are usually collars, pentagram necklaces, or kandi (Bead necklaces) with a pacifier on one of them. I also wear a black and white striped scarf sometimes.
My wrist accessories are a Linkin Park band, a chain bracelet with the name "Jermaine" on it, or kandi (Bead bracelets).
My feet usually have black, or grey socks, or my socks are either rainbowed, striped with black and another colour, or checkered with black and another colour. I only wear ankle, knee, or thigh socks, but never tube socks that go half way up the shin. I sometimes wear black furry leg warmers, especially if I'm going to a party or a club. My shoes are usually skater shoes, and I also have a pair of knee high black platform boots that look like their for clubbing or a bit punky looking. I also have a pair of punk creepers. If I wear flats or slip ons, they have to be Vans. I also own a pair of 6 inch heel boots that go half way up my shin, but I wear them with my leg warmers.
I think that's enough detail on what my wardrobe looks like. I have some normal looking clothes too for my days where I feel like being normal, or my mom wants me to be normal looking for an event.
