Alright, here it is,
I'm opening a Fun Center in Tinseltown this weekend, Yup, that's right, a furry operated arcade!
Expect to see Laser Mounted Bumper Cars, R.C. Cars, Skee-ball, Arcade Games, Bouncy Castles, and much much more!
I have 8000sq/ft to work with right beside the food court, (The part sectioned off with the Yellow wall)
Can anyone say furmeet? :P
I told you big things were coming, this is my gift to the community, hehe
More info to come soon
Cheers
~Tor~
jesus fucking christ, god almighty and lord help us all?
im serious, people near chinatown plus furries.... dude i worked in that mall for 3 months, and you will get reallyyyyyyy weird people there, usually homeless, druggies, ex convicts and rapists living across the street in the almost abandoned buildings... iv seen alotttttt of shit in that mall that i wish i had never seen.
be careful
Wow, this I will defiantly have to go see. I can't wait. That is awesome Torwin!
Thanks for your concern, I'll be on the second floor, so i'm not too worried. I wanted it there because of china town actually, I have two dance games and they LOVE those, hehe "DDR Supernova" and "Pump it up"

is it possible to work a Lan area or date, i wanted to run a few tournaments in an open environment for 360 using Kinects with Dance Central, as well as FPS like Halo Reach and CoD Black Ops ?
also forgot to mention Lan Party EH is the sponsor, and who im a division of.
I'm sure we can figure something out ;)
...You know, arcade normally means no x-box... >.>;
But, I am not the one in charge. Rah! But, this would be fun to attend... How much would it cost??
It's more of a fun center than an arcade, If we do have consoles, I have a projector and and screen for playing etc (that wouldn't be for the general public, just any meets we may have there).
As for cost, there is no admission fee or anything, most of the games are coin-operated, with the exception of the bumper cars, which would only be a few dollars, those things were bloody expensive, all the way from europe. I guarantee you've never seen anything like it though, we have the only set on the continent, hehe

i will try and grab some HD TV's, since they are cheaper in vancouver, and are usually on sale all the time.
Also, Bumper Cars rock! god damn i miss being a kid D: probably why im an asshole to people, i never had much of a childhood
we'll talk about it, they wouldn't be able to stay there on a full time basis, because I won't always be there to watch them, lol
lemme get settled in first, then we can figure something out
Sweet jeebus, that sounds cool!

we can split a 2 headed one to save dough. :p
I remember years ago, there used to be an arcade center on the second floor on the other side of the mall from the food court. Never been inside though, it was closed down by the time I even heard of it.
I had a few months experience helping to run a net cafe in Burnaby right as I was learning about the local fur group. So, if you need help with anything...
i have experience with the game shop downstairs next to mcdonalds, i was thier tech person for a few months.
Omfg. Oh my effin gawd.
Get an ITG machine, and I'll be there 24/7.
Lawl. New furry based store/hangout, now everyone wants a job there, not just hang out.
Imagine working during the furmeet.

you do know its not work for me, its all Voluntary, same as buying the TV's for the thing, so its my own bill. xD
I'm so excited. :D Is it just this weekend it's going to be opened?
may pop in at some time when its open to see how things turn out. hope every thing goes as planed for yea torwin
Very cool, too bad I moved from Tinseltown lol.
If im downtown sometime and I see a fursuit in a arcade ill know its you guys XD And Ill stop on in.
So... the attendants will be suited?
I remember when Playdium had a couple 'mascots' hyping people up. Even cheering for air hockey goals. That was awesome.

What does ITG stand for? I'll look into getting it :P
I'm not looking for employees, I can take care of it for the time being, lol
I'll be open tomorrow, but all I have so far are the Laser Bumper cars and R/C Cars, over the next week or two I'll be slowly moving in and might need a hand (Could've used one tonight, I was there for like 10hours by myself setting up the Arena's) I can't afford to pay anyone atm, moving the games/equipment from the storage facility in Surrey to downtown Vancouver is not cheap on the ol' gas tank, lol.
but I can give ppls free use of the rides :P
Anyway, big day tomorrow, I'm both tired and sore from the heavy lifting
hope to see some of ya there!
Cheers
~Tor~
Wow, congratulations - that sounds very cool!

Yuhp that's ITG2, and I'm very good at it. A new place to practice and play would be nice xD
There's ITG3, but not many of those were made since they were sued by Konami because of copyright stuff with DDR.
Most places just put all the songs from ITG2, 3, and Rebirth in it.
oh In the Groove!, lol
I don't have that one, but I do have DDR SuperNova and Pump it up, they are both very similar :P
SuperNova is pretty fun. I might come by and check it out eventually xD
That was a nice invite for a ride~ hehe still dizzy~ but looks like from today's outcome it might be a good location/idea XD, Can't wait to see when its done >=D
Thanks for stopping by!, I promise I'll have more fun stuff soon :P
I'll have to drag my friends down there sometime during the holiday. Originally we were just going to order some crappy chinese food and watch jeuvenile xmas specials, but this will be more fun.
What time and days are you open?
I am really tired and 1/2 drunk. What are your hours/days of operation?
Haven't decided on a set schedual yet, I'll be there tomorrow from 1pm-6pm, more than likely I'll work on it during the week, and open to the public on weekends, I'll open it anytime for you guys tho, if you wanna ride bumper cars :P
I don't have the games there yet, I have to transport them from our storage depot in Surrey ;)

sweet, i will not be down there until after christmas, (Family Obligations)
but i will come volunteer my time.
Cool beans. I'll talk to my people and notify you on here when we'll be going. :-*
It's pretty convenient since my usual arcade hang out place closed (Circuit Circus... The one on kingsway T^T)
There's so few arcades left nowadays. It seems like they were a big trend in the eighties and nineties.
I guess one of the pluses of a furry owned fun-place is that you wouldnt need to pay for mascots :)
I might check it out too =D

Lol holidays would be the best if there was a big "Costume" party with a bunch of suits :P
The money would just flow in like a waterfall~
Sounds cool. I'm only about 10 minutes from Tinseltown myself.
The only thing I'd be concerned about is the market for arcades and such considering the fate of places like Playdium (which was also centrally located), but I'd assume you've done your research on that if you're putting money into it and it's only incidental to the issue of having meets there in any case.
