Contact me if you can. Ran into a not so good situation regarding my car. A mechanic type guy I know of was to have fixed my car two months ago. So far the engine is fixed but hasn't been put in under the hood. And I need to get the car driveable so I can take it off the lot and bring it home.
It is either this or just cut my losses and scrap the car out right...
What kind of car? where is it? and what tools do you have? air compressor?
I wont be back for another 6 months?
plus someone else already did the engine? I dunno about that. I wouldn't want to be held responsible for someone else's mistakes.
um.
yeah where is this problem of yours located? if i'm nearby i could help.
Car is sitting on a property, nearby the intersection of Fraser Highway and 168th street.
At the moment I want to pull it off the property in order to fix it, unless if you think you could cherry pick the engine and drop it into the bay while working on a dirt road.
Engine is fixed, complete, only needing to be placed on it's mounts. I'm guessing the battery and one of the drive shafts is a lost cause and needs to be replaced. (He has them but I'm not wanting to deal with him any more).

Its a little more then just setting it on its mounts, mount it on the trans fuel, exhaust, intake, wires, sensors, starter, setting the timing if the engine if it has a distributor, breaking the engine in if the rings have been replaced.
Sorry but im not really interested in working on the side of the road.
good luck!
It's a throttle body injection system. The engine was running while it sat in another car. The intake and Exahuast was replaced to fit my model of car. The transmission has already been mounted and connected. The whole thing just needs to be dropped into the engine bay and reconnected. I have all the wiring still. I should know, I pulled it out with a little help when it was stuck down in Seattle to see what was the original problem. Stupid bearing wasn't seated right on the original engine and came off on the engine that I had.
To be honest.. I'd rather find another place to put it before I actually do work on it. Otherwise I'm just going to call a tow company and send it for scrap. They don't charge anything for that but it be a waste after spending so much already.
sorry, too far away for me. if i was closer i'd take a look...good luck though.
Its ok.. thanks anyways though.
