I came out to My entire family sort of all at once, but they were pretty much fine with it, my Dad told me he'd always love me and he could never hate me for anything, which was releiving. My sister likes it cause apparently we can boy watch. ._.
My mom quoted "It's Disgusting". xD.. but i still love her anyways.
So, what about your coming out stories?
None of my RL friends or family know Im bi =3 and id like to keep it that way.
Mine is more a cop out I guess.
I buried myself in school and work so I did not have to confront any sexual and relationship issues. After achieving a level of intellectual and professional success essentially dissolved my old life and started a new one on my terms.
Ya it was cutting and running but it worked and at the end results are all that mattered.

I never really came out. My mom caught me looking at gay furry porn and she told everyone else. :-[
my mom found out i was bi curious or bi or gay when she discovered i was flirting with the same sex at the time and she was okay with it but still wanted me to at least try a relationship with a girl but i never did because im too insecure of myself and most girls dont take me seriously also im not really the type a girl would want although i still may consider being with a girl one day some day just right now im not a relationship type person im more for fooling around and all.
then my sister and bro found out but they to were like the same as me except they are more for relationships so they have a good open mind and are bisexual.
my dad hasnt found out but i think he does know just not saying anything about it but in away it doesn't bother me much because he cant really do or say much about it anyways considering the fact i was already discluded from his life due to his job life and such and also he recently found out about my drug abuse problems so really if he found out i was bi it wouldn't be as bad as the drug bit lol
I am no longer on speaking terms with my sister, mother and step-father... but if my mother knew I was pansexual, she would disown me anyway.
It has never come up with my grandmother, but I am sure that she would love me no matter what.

hmm i suspect my father, step mom, and the rest of my direct family knows including step siblings cuz they randomly make these strange gay references to me or off color jokes that they never do to anyone else. But i also think they all know me enough to know that i would be very very mad if they tried to pry it out of me or asked so they dont say anything. If i am i wrong and i hope i am not for some reason then i hope my dad never knows cuz i am his only son and i think it would crush him if i he knew i was gay and that would crush me even more to know my father my idol was disappointed in me. All my once apon closest friends know, sadly i cant say i told my best friend personally, i had to get my ex girl friend to tell him and i regret that still because i see that as very cowardly. But i loved him and i didn't want him to know it would not have been worth destroying are friendship. My sister and mom knows, my mom dosnt mind and says she was the same, that was a HUGE surprise to me lol but it made me love my mother even more knowing that she understands and still loves me. My sister however pisses me off she said its just a stage and that i didn't know what i wanted. I took her out for a very very expensive lunch and i saw this guy i knew with the body of a Greek god and i was telling her about him and she told me to shut up and that she was not ready and did not believe me she didn't want to know anything about what i thought it hurt i was so sure she would understand but he doesn't and hurts me allot she is my only full sibling.
My fave person i came out to was another of my once of apon best friend. He had been doing allot of gay jokes and when i told him we where driving back from picking up his new car and when i told him the first thing he said was "dammit now i can use my gay jokes anymore!" he wasn't surprised no one that i told was for some reason i know they didn't expect it but none where surprised that confused me a little still does. I expected them to be shocked or something but no. The same friend that was upset about not being able to use his gay jokes anymore said i was a contradiction in every way lol made me laugh, i dont fit into any stereotype but i fit into all at the same time, totally strange.

Oh god... my coming out was anything BUT intentional...
My fist relationship was a looong distance one, me and my first BF decided that we had to meet up and actually be together if only for one weeks time. Well he got out here and i introduced him as "that friend of a friend who I talked to" That story was believed till the second night in a row that he was sleeping in the same bed as me ^.=.^;
The reaction from everyone as predictably a shocked one my parents were mostly neutral but still didn't like that I was doing stuff under the same roof as my siblings and tempers flared as they tried to make us sleep in different rooms for the rest of his visit.
Not the most graceful of comings out I will say :-X

None of my family know, and most of my friends know.
It was revealed in an ill-advised drunken game of personal-secret chicken, over Pho and a mickey of cheap scotch.
"Furry" was dubbed weak sauce (apparently all of us had dabbled in it at one point or another), and quickly overshadowed by darker things.
I personally advise every friend group to do this. Mickey of scotch not mandatory, but it does help tons.

Yeh it was an odd year.
I told my sister all about furries. But the furries I introduced her just so happened to be on disability, or kids. And they were all obsessed with their fursonnas, so she now thinks that furries are all head cases...
My parents are passed away and buried in Saskatchewan, so they either already know, or will never know.
I have five more sisters and a pile of cousins to have such a conversation with yet.

Well In my school, it wasn't very bi/gay safe only untill the new lesbian school principal joined up and put a crack down on all the jocks and what not. In grade 9, I let a handful of friends know i was "bi" as a safe zone untill about grade 12. I wasn't ACTUALLY bi as some peopel start out as. My school got alot better seeing how there were maybe .... 4 -5 of us LOL. But yeah Grade 12 was the year I let everyone know i was, which was alittle hard becuase I did lose some friends, but most of them were supportive. When I graduated, my rule was they can think i'm straight (which i KIND OF look/act it) but if they ask, i'm going to tell them the truth.
So friends, co-workers and randoms I meet know I am. As for my parents...
My step dad is homophobic so If i said anything i would most likely be targeted for more of his BS. I didn't know about my mom and other people but shit went down at my house and I left. I'm now living wth a friend and my mom and grandma packed away my room into storage, but while they were filling tubs up with my old unused stuff then found an old Christmas Card my friend gave me that has some pritty delicious looking bums on it XD And in the card it said something along the lines of "Merry Christmas and i hope that your new year has plenty of man butts cuz i know thats what you like". When people confront me I like to beat around the bush as much as possible, even more when i'm super embarassed. SO my mom and I were shopping for new work pants and she sprung up the question if i was gay in Winners in a crowd of people who were looking at me and her. I wish i had a billboard glued to my head that read "Not now mum", becuase she's pritty clueless and has no fliter while talking to anyone. So i nonchalantly said "Maybe" and "yeaaahh guys are nice". I don't think she got the picture but i'm sure she will figure it out when pictures of me making out with guys are on my facebook :3
my mom always saw the way i look at guys, so one day when i was upset she asked what was wrong, it went though the list of "Bullying? friendships? girl problems?" then "Boy problems". i told my mom and she told my dad, and i told my sister and my friends. now i wear rainbows everywhere :gay:
I came out when I was 18 (but was out online at about 15 or 16). I was having an argument with my ma and stepdad and during the shouting my mom asked what was wrong with me, why I was always angry and I blurted out "Because I'm GAY!" That sorta stopped the argument and I actually had to assure them it wasn't a phase or the devil making me gay (stepdad very conservative/religious and influenced my mom). Real dad had passed away a year prior and so they were thinking that's what the problem was. However, I have no idea how they could have been surprised because I look back at all the little homemade short films I did growing up and I was SO flaming.
These days I'm open about everything, even my furryness, but there's still not all that much talking that I do when I visit them. *Giggles* my mate is referred to as my "friend" by my mom and she seems a bit awkward and distant when I say "boyfriend ", but she still says she's glad I'm happy. So they're at least accepting.

Well, at least being honest about things in a forum is a start. That's how I started coming out of my shell. I started posting to a Titan AE message board years ago and it turned out most of the folks there were not only bi/gay, but furs as well. Once I was able to be honest with online friends and discover there were more (sort of) like me in the world it lead to an easier transition to being myself IRL. I used to be the quiet introverted husky kid who sat in the corner daydreaming or writing emoetry. These days I'm very outgoing. It's all a process which takes some a bit longer to go through then others, let alone those who spend their whole lives being dishonest with themselves. I'd say since you're posting in here you're on the right track. To tell you the truth, people used to think I was pretty intimidating, but once they started talking to me they find out how easy I am to get along with. At all my jobs I end up being the guy everyone trusts and comes to with their issues because I'm so open and truthful. The differences in personalities between the me of 10 years ago and the me of today is pretty astronomical. We all to start somewhere.
I never really "came out" with the fact that I'm into both girls and guys. I just like to let it surprise people in conversation. XD

My parents kinda found out when my sisters told them I was seeing a guy, unaware that I hadn't told my parents yet. Apparently, their response was similar to the coworker-convo above. =P
I don't really feel the need to publicize it. I just honestly answer people's questions and only feel the need to admit it if the context asks for it. Makes things a lot simpler that way and people don't get the whole "gay pride" vibe off me (not that having gay pride is bad, but you can't deny that homophobes generally hate that shit.)
How can you not like men? If you only liked wemon, then youd have no guy friends and youd hate your own kind. You'd be frowned upon and not qualify as a man.

That was just an example I pulled off the top of my head, bud. =P And typically, when people say "____ likes men," they actually mean it the more homosexual way.

I am open about being a furry; however, sometimes I feel no need to telling people who I know about it. Some friends know, some friends could easily guess. My mom has no clue that I am a furry. Awhile back she even suggested looking into furry as a group to be part of. I found it quite funny. . .
No one says any negative comments to me about being a furry. People who I thought would hate it seem to love it. I have people asking me questions about tails I sew and drawings I make. When it comes to sexuality, no one knows to much except for a few people..
