Most of us here are 19 and over, and we all have urges and like to see if other people are them (case in point, recent posts in the Bi thread XD) so this is just a suggestion now. What if we had a adult section? Like stuff for yiff and what not? I know we hafta keep some things under the radar because of the rules, but wouldnt it be ok to have a labeled adult section telling users that enter at your own risk. Must be 19 or older, sorta thing. Just a suggestion now. what do you guys think? =3

If I wanted porn I'd go to so-furry, ychan or fchan, I like that this site is an entirely clean social forum and I would hate to see it any other way. I would rather furries living in bc didn't have to put up that common misconception. Furthermore I think it's nice that we can have young people on this board, I think we should continue to encourage that rather than discourage it with an adult themed forum.
Having stuff like the bi thread is just fine every once in a while, but I think it's a bit much to have a whole separate section for that stuff.

Adult type topics are not so bad... but I wouldn't want a 'yiff here!' subforum/thread... that should be for private time. I am on another board that briefly had an adult themed subforum and most of the topics were ok... but then two guys made a yiffy/murry topic and were mad when others came and ruined their 'alone time' ... if they wanted that, they should have done it in IM.
That said, I am waiting on my host (an old friend) to add me to his new servers. When he does, I will be making an 18+ forum. It will be for people from all over, not just BC, but I can give the URL to those interested once it is online.
The idea seems to work both ways, yes it can be a good thing, and yes it can be a bad thing, the unfortunate part is the style i think would be neat, just would never work out (IE. not yiff, but general... "Sexuality" topics) trouble is, they turn out bad most of the time when there is a nice community on the side, ya know?
Putting an adult section on the forum would be a very bad thing for the clean image of the forum. Nevertheless, I am curious about the amount of interest and will be watching this thread.
I don't like the idea I mean we could just have a thread and post our FA accounts or like Zenyah~ suggested a whole new forum just for adult related stuff. Its funny cause if you look at my fa my favorites is about 97% porn I just like the idea of having a somewhat clean environment with furries. It makes me realize its not just YIFF YIFF PENIS TITS :angel:
Yeah, I think the age spread on these forums makes having an adult-based section a bit dodgy. I don't mind adult-level discussion myself - generally I like open discussions like that - but this is really turning into a public face for the BC furry community, and it might be for the best to avoid that kind of link. My two cents, anyhow.
Look here is the deal with "Adult Sections", if you don't want to see it THEN DON'T GO TO IT! I am not sure about this forum version, but in other ones I know you can block out sections by choice or by admin setting/removing privileges. It's simple, set it to 19+ only, have it so people can voluntarily drop it from sections what they can see, profit!
A gaming community I am part of has passed EVERY web sense scan and are not flagged for an "adult site", and there is full fledged nudity posted.

Everyone expects that kind of stuff from gamers. Furries, we're trying not to have those kind of expectations.
Furryteens.org has an adult forum. They've not gotten any shit about it. Guess what? I'm sure the demographic is much younger.

Yup, they do. The exact same restrictions that we would have to implement if we were to add an adult section.
Why is that? We limit the section to 19+ and you're fine.
I don't see why we need an adult section on the forums. I rather have feedback on my FA account than repost everything there here and keeping track of both things... Unless you wanna post something FA doesn't allow (yourself naked!? :-\) but then again the forums would have to make rules to prevent such things.
And what is there in an adult section that can benefit these forums anyway?

That just leaves intimate and sexual questions, tips, experiences etc etc which has high possibilities of creating drama and again should be done on instant messaging with someone you trust.
