I been in Surrey for bout a month or so dont really plan on staying much longer but ya was wondering what is there to do in Surrey when you got no money and like hardley any friends?
Cause i been pretty bored over the passing days recently just got into the habit where i dont look for much expectation in my days so instead i dont even bother i just start sleeping the days away.
You could always throw garbage at pedestrians on King George. :)
Heh. I used to have a few buckets full of pennies... I had this great idea to dump them out the skytrain windows right onto King George Highway near the strip, and watch the crackers go crazy.
Lol at this point in time ide even go crazy for pennies :o
-get shot
-get stabbed
-get mugged
-get set on fire
Go to the temple. :P
the temple? :O
We have temples. ;)
You have to wash your feet at the door though.
Nice ill have to check them out
I think I'd prefer not to convert to a seik religeon.
I'm pretty sure I'm spelling that wrong...
There isn't much to do in Surrey.. besides survive the jackasses.
It's "Sikh" and they aren't the only ones out there. :P
Lol actually im willing to go to any church just for self entertainment and free activities
well there are plenty of churches in surrey, and at least one buddhist temple...
If you like parks, there is Bear creek park, its pretty big..
Umm tbh I've lived here over a year now and I still don't see much to do in this cruddy city..
I don't know surrey at all but from all the data I gathered about it from these forums I'd say go spend all your free time somewhere else or hang out with someone or something and try to get home before 10 pm
Well there is AuronDenengrad game night, and a few other local events been organized, but I'm sure you've seen that.
How accessible are you? Do you bus or drive? If you bus, then it's pretty much what's close . If you can drive, then there's a few more options.
There are a couple of decent bowling alleys and pool halls. Guildford and Scottsdale have large theaters that are ... modernly ... priced. Central City Arena has a roller skating with music and lights on Saturday nights. There's also a ton of bars, but be careful of the area. There's also beaches within travel distance, some very nice parks, and damn large malls. Not much for culture centres though ... and I don't get out much so I really don't know what happens for events in the area.
I live in Surrey and im nice :3
well, you can do drugs like everyone else in surrey :>
Yea Iunno I just got outta a bad drug life already and not in the position to start back up on drugs again and ever since i got into drugs its basically came part of my life even when i just dont wanna be around them anymore.
Surrey is boooooooooooooooooooring! Surrey is a culturally dead wasteland. The best things about this armpit of a town are the bridges out of it. You want some advice? Spend as much time as you can outside of Surrey. It is the epitome of MUNDANE. Thank God it has a furry population otherwise it would be utterly unbearable.

You know, you can say the same thing about Vancouver.
I find the little low lifes of Vancouver are much nicer though. :P
I find that people in Vancouver have a 'mightier than thou' attitude that doesn't exist in Surrey. Surrey's just angry for no reason.
That's because Vancouver has all the rich folks. Rich people are like that.
There's always meeting up with people.

Burnaby is not so bad, it's in between Vancouver and Surrey and the people there are not so scummy and not so stuck up. But again not a lot to do especially late at night.
Surrey is a angry place due to the high poverty levels living in slums and suburbs plus the hard struggle to find a job that will help pay for living.
most who cant get a job are forced to make or smuggle drugs and sell or even fall to prostitution so yea its very stressful here.
so stressful that if someone was to instigate without knowing of course person is going to freak out and get angry due to the amount of stress they are put into.
My hometown is the exact same way as Surrey except it never had Heroine introduced yet and its impossible to become homeless because well even a hard crackhead could afford a place to rent in my hometown and manage off it.
Onley problem is place is running outta Places to rent out up there so young adults are rooming up in a group of 4-5 in one home and not much elderly trust young adults anymore for renting.
so most young adults are starting to form up in a gang to help one another keep off streets but like any other gangs there is gang fights/wars and troubles with the law and of course high drug abuse.
Ahem
look out for terrorists :police:

Well the temple is a nice place to visit. As for the feet washing, some of them request that, some of them they wash your feet. They don't try to convert you, but the do feed you well. Nothing like a free hot meal when one is broke, not to mention a foot washing. I just can't seem to handle the hot spices anymore.
Ok WTF surrey is not that bad there are multi-millionaires living is surrey we have gillford mall which they are expanding there are plent of bars that are perfictly safe, if you own or rent a bike there are plenty of bike trails and paths to go to as well as bear creek park and green timbers yes there are there problems nut im now living in vancouver and there are the same number of wierd and asshole people here as well
