This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I grew up with it as a kid and its done by my favorite animator Don Bluth. For those of you who havent seen it, its called Rock-a-Doodle. Basically now that I realize, its a furry movie. Cause most of the characters in it are furries in some way. Its a story about a young boy you read stories about a rooster named Chanticleer that was the protecter of this farm from the owls. But one day the owls beat him down and he was forced to run away. Then the little boy (who gets turn into a cat) goes on a adventure to find the rooster and stop the evil owls. The film begins in live action, but turns cartoon 20 mins in. I love this movie so much cause its a classic. The villian in the movie, Grand Duke of Owls, is the perfect villian. Evil to the bone, has a dim witted sidekick and a english accent. If you havent seen it already, youtubing is your best bet, cause the DVDs are rare. Now that I look back on the movie, I missed one important quote. Back then It would've jsut flew past me, but now I laugh when I hear it XD.
IMA FURRY!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSU4MUMOiPc#)
Eeeeh I used to sort-of like it... but now when I look back at it, I think it sucks. XDD
i still think its ok wouldnt wach it unless i was realy bored
It's not as good as I remember it being, but I too watched this many times when I was young. This was really the beginning of a long decline for Don Bluth, who's best work arguably was everything up until An American Tail. I re-watched it recently and noticed his exclamation about being furry. Also of note:
"They entered an adequate pipe!"
"They're running out of batteries!"
and of course, the five-axled pink Cadillac. Holy shit. I think that was the beginning of my love of cars right there.
Actually, from there Dons movies were getting better, but you had to be a true don bluth follower like me, to see that. I try to learn from his art style, cause personally I think its the best thats ever been in cartoon movies.
