This was an exercise that I was introduced to back in high school. Suppose you were trapped on a deserted island with the foreknowledge that you would remain trapped there for the rest of your life. You have with you ten movies and only ten movies to comfort you through all of the long years ahead. (For the sake of argument, let us also say that you have a Blue-Ray player and an HDTV). Which ten movies would you take with you?
My TEN:
A Hard Day's Night
2001: A Space Odyssey
Tora Tora Tora
Woodstock
American Graffiti
Robin Hood
Saturday Night Fever
Pleasantville
Titanic
Almost Famous
(You will notice I chose a lot of films heavy on soundtracks. I would simply die if I were parted from the music that I love!)
I would take ten moves that could be used as flotation devices and oars since deserted islands do not have TVs or electricity. That was the answer I gave when asked that back in school too, heh. But no, I think Ghostbusters, ghostbusters 2, scarface, and seven godzilla movies.
lol I was about to say the same as Kardrack.
Is there electricity on this island? If so then...
Ever After
Terminator 2
Pretty Woman
Dirty Dancing
Titanic
LotR trilogy
Never Been Kissed
Avatar
I think I would pick those.

Out of curiosity since I am a fan of the Big G myself, which seven Godzilla movies?
Pick seven? You bastard, making me choose. All I can say really are NOT son of godzilla where it was all a dream, not king kong vs godzilla where the bug guy loses to an ape, and not american godzilla. But definitely the latest movie where he fights american godzilla.
For me it would be not Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster (voted one of the worst movies of all time) or many of his seventies films when Godzilla became a giant cartoon superhero.
(I hate to correct you, but Godzilla's Revenge was the dream)
WALL-E
Star Wars: Episodes III, IV, V and VI (I and II, feh)
Spirited Away
Blazing Saddles (makes me laugh every time I see it)
The Longest Day (that'll kill time!)
Robin Hood (the Disney version - hey, I'm a furry, after all)
Titan AE (it's kind of like being lost on a desert island...)
Wow, that was tougher than I thought it would be!
