: "The Quality Of Life;" A Webcomic Experiment.

I am collaborating with fellow furry "Kura The Fox" to create a webcomic we call "The Quality Of Life." This is a working title, but it is being considered. (Mostly because I can't think of anything else I really like, or that hasn't been used...) I can't go into any plot or character developments, but I would like to discuss some of the themes and ideas with anyone who is interested. It is intended to be an examination of the furry fandom itself, as well as it's place in the world today. My co-creator and I agree that it would be amazing if furries existed in real life, but it would be something of a culture shock to the human population. After all, think of the reaction when humans were introduced to subsets of their own species. Something as simple as skin tone caused generations of mistrust and prejudice. How would the so-called "dominant species" on the planet react to the discovery of something as bizarre and "wrong" as a furry? Fantastical racism would most certainly ensue. In older times, furries would likely have been used as beasts of burden or hunted down for food and skins, just like their four legged brethren. After all, what measure is a non-human? We're thinking of doing an introductory chapter detailing "furry evolution through the ages," before dropping into a modern setting, where we would join the main cast. The present-day furries would have become a part of society, but still be regarded with disgust and fear. Ultimately, "The Quality Of Life" is an ironically "human" story about a group of people in desperate straits, trying their best to succeed and survive in a world that wants them to fail.

If anyone is interested in further details or collaboration, please feel free to comment. Hell, comment anyways even if you're not. I just want to talk to somebody.

Hmm... This sounds like something that I would be interested in talking with you about. Perhaps, we could pm, then use msn and such?
