: Realistic Fursuits?
: Xen Garden May 25, 2010, 03:38:14 -06:00
I know that there are alot of furs on here that do fursuits, and all in their own styles. But it's rare for me to see people that do realistic ones versus cartoon/mascot styled fursuits. So I was just wondering if anyone did realistic fursuits on here and how much do you usually charge for them?

There was a user on DArt that does incredibly amazing realistic fursuits, but they are 800$ and above just for a head with a movable jaw.

Really? Hmm well I don't really wanna get a fursuit (Especially right now). I was just curious to see if there was anyone here who did, so when I descide to get one, I'll know who does something realistic. I'm not looking for anything cartoon styled personally.

Hey there- while I'm not a regular active forum whore here, I do make realistic fursuits, well- moreso the masks. I much more enjoy the style of the realistic stuff, that said, I do want to start venturing into toon style as to make myself more available for commissions. My work can be found at http://www.akutchaw.deviantart.com/gallery (http://www.akutchaw.deviantart.com/gallery) as well as http://www.talonthekiller.deviantart.com/gallery/ (http://www.talonthekiller.deviantart.com/gallery/)

I met you at Howloween this year! You had an awesome mask. I am jealous of your work!

Not bad! And someone local too ^^

These are some people's work that I enjoy but I am sure they are very expensive and far away...

I like how this person does horses. That's a big thing for me since everyone seems to do other animals instead http://lilleahwest.deviantart.com/gallery/ (http://lilleahwest.deviantart.com/gallery/)

Not too bad either for this one http://www.beetlecatoriginals.com/ (http://www.beetlecatoriginals.com/)

This person has to be my ultimate favourite though http://qarrezel.deviantart.com/gallery/ (http://qarrezel.deviantart.com/gallery/)

I can do Realistic. o: I just need to save up for an Airbrush and some other tools.
Practicing with the Moving Jaw on my Jason Fursuit I will be trying to build For HowlOween and Halloween.

There are many other fursuit designers that do realistic. o:

Yeah but unfortunately I don't really see people wearing realistic fursuits. I don't know. I guess you could say I appreciate seeing something more believable to the eyes. Having big eyes that look in 1 direction and a happy expression at all times is less appealing to me. Whereas with a realistic outfit, it's more of a neutral look .It's all about preference I guess lol.

Hey! I do realistic and semi-realistic masks.
You can check out my gallery but I only have two examples so far.. And the mask I am currently working on is several times better.
I do casted resin eyes now, which makes a huge difference in realism.

Since I am new, my prices will be cheaper (once I am ready to take commissions... soon I promise!)

or Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/LacunaWolf (http://www.youtube.com/user/LacunaWolf)

Beastcut, Qarrezel, and Beetlecat are definitely the leaders in realistic masks :D

This guy:

He makes some of the most realistic and high tech fursuits that I know of.

I'd buy a Bettlecat suit before I'd buy something from there.  At least it's made in Canada. :birdy:
