EDIT: Managed to get a great deal (~$870) for a Macbook on Craigslist, so if this topic can be closed that'd be cool :)
==============
Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a Macbook for iPhone development. I don't mind if its used, so long as its in good shape!
Price range I'm looking for is sub $1400 for a Macbook Pro line, or sub $1000 for a Macbook. I'd have to hear the specs to know for sure. I'd also be willing to pay more if it has extras like case/displayport adapter, etc. I'm looking for one with the Unibody (aluminum) housing.
If you happen to have one lying around, please drop me a line!
Thanks ;D
You might be able to pick up a refurb from apple for that much.
Mine is the basic macbook 13', a lil over 2 yrs old, in the white plastic, but still under warranty \o/
Yeah, didn't see any good deals under the refurbished ones unfortunately. They're all like $1575+ and then tax and shipping.. ouchie.
And the white plastic ones I'd like to avoid if possible.. they have a tendency to crack.
I'd also be willing to do a trade of a PC laptop for a Mac if people are willing to do that instead.
I have one of these: http://www.amazon.com/G51J-A1-15-6-Inch-Gaming-Windows-Premium/dp/B002PAQXCW (http://www.amazon.com/G51J-A1-15-6-Inch-Gaming-Windows-Premium/dp/B002PAQXCW)
Its a really good gaming machine (way better than Macbooks) and I don't need 2 laptops.
Wooo, G51J. Awesome laptop, I'll vouch for it, having one myself.
It's definitely a bit heavy though, and the keyboard isn't as well designed. But it definitely makes up for all of that with the power it packs.
