Very simple...wander to the north (with the appropriate equipment) where the zombies are of no threat to anyone as they will freeze to the point of being rendered useless and shatterable.

Heck no, not any more. That problem was dealt with, I think.
No significant grounds to ban me anyways. x3
Fast, smart zombies or slow, stupid zombies? This is important.
Well I guess a virus could go either way, I think fast would be cover both types.
Best to plan for both slow and fast zombies in the long run. ;D

If there was a zombie attack, the best plan is to find a fortified bunker filled with food, weapons, firearms and armor, and with only a few small entrances that have security bars. Where would one might find such a place?
Walmart.
The entrances are small and few to help prevent shoplifting, and have heavy duty bars to keep stampeding people out on Boxing Day (or Black Friday). On the inside you will find firearms and ammo, football gear for lightweight but effective zombie-proof armor, lawn trimmers and baseball bats, you name it. Plus enough non-perishable food to last a group for months.
- Uni
I see your Walmart and raise... Costco! *heavenly sounding music* : D
It's a cement warehouse with forklifts and heavy doors, and a good two year supply of non perishable foods and a electronics collection that would no doubt help entertain.
Power: if cut off from ground line, can be replaced by Costco's generators. Heck they also sell solar cells *takes some up to the roof* :P
Hmm, now I'm imagining strapping a lawnmower onto the front of a forklift
Oh! Classy ;D
BTW, your image is sweet. First time I have seen it.
I'll just get my idea from playing Dead 2 Rights.. yay tackling zombies with a John Deere XD
My survival plan is nice an simple, asuming these are the slow and stupid type :P
Weaponry:
Double Barrel short gun (with lots of ammo)
Clothing:
Tight black cargo pants (no chains)
no shirt
steel toed boots
Zombie slaying song:
Hammer Smashed Face - Cannibal Corpse XD!!!
Food/suplies:
Copius amounts of food, trail mix espeically
toilet paper, you gotta go right? XD
lots of bottle water
and ill be up in a high treehouse
No shirt? won't you get cold over the days?
And hey... Only I (and Draaz... I guess : / ) rule the canopy. *iron fist*
I Declare! World War Tree! ;D
Wow. Super pun of doom there Haloth?
id much rather be cold then be BIFURCATED by hoards of the living dead, besides most of the shirts i have are kinda loose fiting, and a zombie could easly grab a hold of the fabric.
and you can have the canopy :P
I might even just find myself a nice cosy cave to barricade XD hurray for the underground!
: Draaz April 02, 2009, 08:13:21 -06:00
Wow. Super pun of doom there Haloth?
Hehe, I dropped the Atomic bomb of all puns. x3
*is proud of himself* : P
Rhari's survival plan:
1.Find the best equipped party and hook up with em.
or
2. Becoming one of the horde early on
or
3. Kill Self as soon as the massacre starts.
I don't have a high probability of survival in this situation. I don't think I could survive fighting the horde

I'm sure if we worked together we could survive it... with the other furs. I don't have a high survival level either, but when it comes to protecting my pack or those close to me well... I tend to be over protective even against the undead lol We'll just put our good halves together^_^
I'd just rely on my friends with firearms and crowbars. :P
ima go thru the stargate betches.

LOL! YES! Stargate FTW!
: Malicai April 04, 2009, 08:57:33 -06:00
ima go thru the stargate betches.
And end up in an already zombie infested planet with no way to return. Have fun. XD
Naw, just need to dial out again XD heh heh heh
To another world infested with zombies! : D
Yeah... Zombies like the Stargate. Something about buttons and blue shimmering light. Just does it for them. >___>
some one will have to shot me... I love zombies.. so if I don't off myself right away.. i'll be the crazy cat running toward the zombies hoping to get bit and not fully eaten ! LOL
GUNS GUNS GUNS GUNS GUNS
Molotov Cocktails
and GUNS
The first order of business is getting out of major urban areas.
Although one would be tempted to bring a car due to the amount of gear one could take, you must realize that almost everyone else will have the same idea. Roadways will be blocked and unusable, people sitting helplessly in their soon to be coffin cars waiting for the hoard.
A motor bike is perferable, both for fuel costs as well as mobility.
The further one can get from civilization, the better. Heading North would be the best bet, as the harsh winters would freeze the zombies and thus allow you to raid abandoned and dead towns for food, supplies. At this point, surviving the winters becomes your biggest challenge.
Well for me I would have my trusty FN P90 with AP rounds and L96 AWSM, and tons of ammo. My pack would be loaded with food and medical supplies. My plan first would be to find anyone that survives and team up. Then move out to a military base (They have more food and ammo and other supplies like radio). Take out the zombies that I see and try to find more people I a move out. I wouldn?t be listing to any music so I can hear my surrounding, plus my batteries would die to fast and it would be a pain to carry more :P

Since when did zombies wear armour? :P
I want to make sure those suckers a down for good. lol come on the L96 AWSM will take them down fast.
what about a double-barrel shotgun right to the dome? that's just gonna be brutal carnage :P
Yeah but I like to keep my distance. That why I picked a SMG and a bolt-action sniper rifles. they do the trick from close to medium to long range.

Get the scout, a headshot's a headshot and it's only $2750, the AWP costs $4750
But I like the L96 AWSM, I can shoot though objects to get at the zombie behind. Plus you can shoot further down range.
would a Chinese person who has been bitten by a zombie turn into a Jiang Shi?
"Hey, whats hoppin'"
In the overall picture, weapon selection is a minor, almost trivial aspect of a zombie survival plan.
I'm seeing a lot of the gun buffs wang waving, but no real plans!
A fancy gun is all well and good until you need to sleep, or run out of food.
Nice call Ember.
I won't lie... It may be the only chance you will have to open a can of whoopaz over a collection of infected people.
But that is not much of a survival plan.
And consider that the outcome of a post outbreak world. Once the zombies die off. Humans will become the serious threat again, and you will probably be stuck in a world wrapped in anarchy.
Good luck with your fancy gun :3 As Uni placed it, "A head shot is a head shot" no matter the gun.
Team work = key to survival.
I refuse to ever reveal my entire zombie plan in case of the event of the smart zombie. You know, the kinds that can retain some memories of life. The one thing I will say is I would get my hand on an industrial snowblower. We get snow a lot up here so the district owns some of these. Basically take a back-hoe with full enclosed cab bat rather than the arm-bucket or a plow, it has the large blades and the chute of a normal push-snowblower but sized for one of those vehicles. Those things can chop through anything and just shoot it away on the sidewalk. Crowd of zombies? No big deal, just plow through and dice them up as I go. Kinda like one of those combine-harvesters.

Nice, I so have the visual of that :P
My plan is to become a zombie and eat y'all's brains. I guess that's not a survival plan as such.
I just watched Quarantine and .. a video camera is an AWESOME zombie killing tool ! And of course the firefighter's axe and giant hammer.. whatever those are called. lol

Quarantine was sooooo bad >.<
it was just a big rip off of RE and Blair witch project, and it wasn't even scary, if anything it was more of a comedy.
Weapons
Prospectors hammer - Melee - IMO best melee as it will not wear out, can one hit kill (insert in top of skull or side, works either way) useful for breaking windows and the like as well (http://z.about.com/d/geology/1/0/U/U/prospecthammer.jpg)
M1A1 Carbine w/folding stock - Ranged - Good for range and short enough to be used in close quarters with a decent rate of fire, and ammo for the weapon would not be hard to find. (http://www.patriotfiles.com/forum/imgcache/1553.png)
9mm Beretta - Ranged - Backup to the M1A1
Mode of transport
Mountain bike w/rear "luggage" rack - Plain and simple, no fuel besides your own energy and silent so you could sneak past the undead, or perhaps any humans who have gone insane and depending on your level of fitness, pretty good speed if needed, can also be used to transport food, water, etc.
Clothing
Balaclava or toque if first isn't available
Tight fitting shirt - Black
Hoodie - Black - Duct taped at wrists, waist and elbows.
Basic sturdy jeans - Black - Duct taped at knees and ankles.
Messenger bag w/quick release strap(Velcro)
Bag contents
Extra ammo
Energy bars - Powerbar and the like, they may taste like concentrated ass but they are a great source of energy none the less.
Vitamins - Because there is no way in hell your carrying around enough food to meet all your required intakes in a messenger bag.
Plan
Keep on the move, attempting to stay out of high population areas, raiding what I need from stores (clothes and the like) and if ever bitten... The standard 9mm blowjob/wall painting exercise.
Hrrm. All my stuff's still packed up, I used to have a go bag or BOB all ready for this... Well. Lessee where we stand right now.
I'm never without my:
-leatherman pouch which also contains: Tungsten and diamond grit knife sharpeners, Matchbook with hooks and fishing line coiled up inside.
-Pentagon light (1 AA)
-Pila 120 lumen light (3 CR123)
-P-38 can opener on my neck.
-Cobra knot bracelet made of 550lb paracord. Can be untied to give me about 7 feet of cord.
Other gear I will soon consolidate back into my pack.
-Hatchet
-10 CR123 batteries which expire in 10 years.
-4 lithium AA batteries. Also expire in 10 years.
-Ranger blanket
-Rain poncho
-Emmrod backpacking fishing rod.
-Steel water bottle(for boiling)
-1.5litre lexan nalgene bottle.
-First aid kit with sutres and compresses.
-Kershaw survival knife.
-NATO strike anywhere matches. 12sec burn time.
-Snare wire
-Pellet gun for small game.
-1 ton hammock.
-Lighters coming out my ears
-Two 50' lengths of 550lb paracord.
-Night vision monocular.
-Binoculars
-I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
I'd probably fill my shoulder bag with dried and canned food until I can build up a proper supply of rations again.
I have some choices for weapons. There's the 100 year old bolt action rifle which likes to jam up on me and I need to pick up some ammo for it.
I intend on buying a 10/22 as soon as I secure a job, and a shotgun soon after.
I have one combat ready sword, another which is probably of better quality but does not have a sharpened edge at the moment.
Realistically I'd use my hatchet or my ice axe.
My ASP will be on me as well, but only as a back up.
Clothing.... Hrrrm... Which BDU shall I use today? Flecktarn's the most comfortable, but the multicam is multicam. Answer: The zombies will eat me while I'm still trying to figure out what to wear.
Probably the flecktarn, too much velcro on the multicam. It was making a lot of noise last time I used it.
I've got knee and elbow pads, Bolle T-800s, need to replace my kevlar gloves, but they're still good, leather repelling gloves to go over them.
My magnum stealth boots are super cosy for running.
Plan? Get to the water. get on a boat, get to a small island that I can easily secure.
Or if I join up with a larger group, we may be able to secure a larger boat, move it away from the land and anchor it.
Eventually sending smaller teams out to scavenge for supplies. But that plan's a little more ambitious.
Oh... Did I mention in my profile that I was a survival nut too?
