It is a very geeky interest, and it takes a long time to produce results. But it goes great with beer and friends and a rainy afternoon.
Omg I love cross stitching. It goes good with watching CSI too... I use to do that for hours and hours...
I can imagine. My two major cross stitching sit downs involve the old "teenage mutant ninja turtles" and "Jem and the holograms". both retro cartoons of which I never watched while being a kid. xP But yeah Haemish insisted that we should stitch to Jem.
It was very cheesy.
Lol I loved TMNT and still do. Never heard or seen Jem. Heh...you should host a sewing/cross stitching fur meet *laugh*
I wouldn't mind learning cross stitching. my Grandma used to do that. You should organize work shops or cross stitching meets.
Hey Haloth, if you're still coming on Sunday to Metro to hang out, maybe you and I can bring our stitching stuff? Lol... I don't have any designs >> Just a thought. Seems others might be joining us! Woo!
I like using game sprites an pixel art as designs. I also go to the library to look for patterns too, they usually have one celtic cross stitch book on the shelf.
Yeay Cross stitch!
Haemish got me into it about a month ago.
There is no going back.
(PS Haemish, I'm almost done my sprite. He just needs skin XD )
Yay! More cross stitching peoples...
I've done some in the past and am planning on quite a large piece that i'll be working on in the colder parts of winter. It's a pic i got commissioned and i've downsampled it and got it down to 14 colours and then layered it in the gimp and made each layer another colour so i could easily check where i'm supposed to be and... uh... ya... hopefully it works out well :)
