Hey gang, the prodigal Furscale is back!
After going a little too crazy at a closeing out sale at Millenium at Metro town, I'm starting to put together a semi-homebrew campaign for 4e. I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in this once I get more details ironed out. It'd be an epic dimension hopping romp involving Dragons and the Undead(and maybe an Elder Evil, mwahaha)
Also, seeing as I've gone on this shopping spree, I"d also be looking to join a group of there are any. Lemme know what you think.
Can Chi play? It would have to be during a time I wasn't in school the next morning though... which includes like every day except Tuesday and Friday hehe.
well so far you seem to be the only one interested... I think once I get more details(and possibly become a licenced GM) I'll get more interest :D
well, if you're willing to accept someone who doesn't know the rules i might be interested. kind of want to get into some game.
nice.. well it just so happens I have an adventure with quick-start rules and pregenerated characters that I've had for over a year or so.. so if I get enough people(2 so far are interested) I'll whip that out and get you guys a test run
Sounds cool ^_^ Ludro are you able to make it to Rat's house? Rat are you willing to host? (You host everything else so yeah I am kind of assuming you will) And yes I know I shouldn't do that but if it is at Rat's house then I go any day, his house is closer to my school then mine is and I have made that trip many times ^_^
I dont know how to play it what so ever~ but i'm willing to join in ^^
Yeah, you can play here most days; I don't mind.
Sweet, that makes 3 so far.. just need like 1 or two more then I can start arranging..
BTW, I also bought Dungeon Mastering DnD 4e for Dummies so hopefully after the pre-generated adventure I can make some of my own ^_^;;
People still play 4e? Maybe you should pick up the Pathfinder books or AD&D.
I would be interested, depending on where it's located, I know -some- of the rules, but not everything.
Okay, sounds like there's finally enough people for the campaign adventure >.>;;
I'm planning on having it at Rainrat's when he's not having a game night(if that's still okey with you Rat)
In the mean time I'd like availablity of all interested players so I can co-ordinate a date we can get together for
Yeah still ok with me.
Availability: Thursday night is game night. Though maybe we could run it in my bedroom during game night.
Otherwise working until 6 on weekdays.
That's always an idea Rat :) it would also make more sense XD Of course I don't have any firm predictable days off apart from Sundays >.>
Okay... Under Game nights I've posted that I'm finally going to be there on Mar 11th with my quick play adventure and dice :D
Hey Ludro! ^_^
Just wanted to say it was nice meeting ya at the game night this week. Thanks a lot for bringing the game and DMing for us.
Was lots of fun ;D
Having gotten a taste of 4th Ed I can definitely see why some people make MMO allusions. The whole daily power, encounter power, 'healing surge'.. its highly structured and a little artificial.
Does make combat more interesting though! I never thought I'd have so many options as a low level fighter. :birdy:
Hope we can do something like that again sometime soon! :)
Thanks much, when Rat comes back I'll try to co-ordinate with Korey and Tamaska to maybe continue things at their place...
And most of the self-healing was to give the cleric more options than being the Cure X Wounds whore :P
Strangely I think I prefer the 3.5 rules over 4 (Not that 4 wasn't any fun). I don't understand having powers I can use every round... as a cleric why bother even holding a mace when I can use my light spear thing that does more damage...
I liked having a spell list full of mostly useless spells...
:p to each their own...
And for the actual melee weapon thing, that's for when you can only do a basic melee attack, depending on the power and for attacks of opportunity
Update: We did a campaign this Sunday. DMs were Floru and Charmy.
Floru huh? how did that go?
I think the two games went really well for a first run! Floru and I ran two separate campaigns in the same room.
You'd have to ask the rest of my group for their opinion.. since they got a little beat up at the end... but I think they did really well overall! ;D
Also, my group now has 5 interested people and we're looking for a 6th. Would you be interested in playing Ludro? Having someone who has the 4e material and knows the game mechanics already would be awesome ^_^ And I enjoyed the last game we played together.
Let me know :3 Next game is likely to be within the next few days. Maybe can discuss it if you come to the games night tomorrow?
Cheers.
Thanks Charmy. Yes, our group all died were knocked unconscious, but I think we had fun.
I'd be up for it... but I don't really get off work Thursday until about 8:15pm... not sure how late that would be... but add me on MSN and yah.. I'd be up for more of it(especially since I'd be getting more use out of my materials) XD
Quick question... what is your MSN?
lunesolar@hotmail.com... I've already added you at this point, just accept :)
Well, our (Charmy's) group did better on our encounter yesterday.
Just as a reminder, everyone in our group should know already, we agreed on 5:30 Friday for our next game.
Alrighty... Starting at lvl one characters? if that's the case I'll whip something up via my character Generator :) I'm thinking Dragonborn Dual Wielder... Either Barb or Ranger Although Fighter can work too...
Yeah, all in Charmy's group are level 1.
Note: the Friday time is just for Charmy's group; I don't believe there's extra room in the group.
oh okay... I'm confused... whichever one had room in it...
Yeah, I think both groups are full now, but you can try to work something out here.
Hey Ludro,
Sorry for the confusion. We are indeed, full...
I was going to invite you as our 6th player at the Games Night on Thursday. There were two tentative spots, so it seemed like a sure thing.
It turned out though that one of Floru's players, Arleen, had a scheduling conflict with Floru's games, so she wanted to join my group.
In addition, Dragonmanmike wanted to play as well and was on hand to make a character in preparation for Friday's game.
Once again though, apologies :(. Interest was greater than expected.
If a spot opens up I'll be sure to let you know right away. You are on my MSN now too.
*sigh* okay... Sunday's are my best days anyways... no possible conflicts with work
Aw. *hug*
You know, since a lot of furs seem to be interested in giving D&D a whirl, I suspect a 3rd DM would be welcomed.
Floru has talked about getting one. We're both playing RPGA-sanctioned Living Forgotten Realms campaigns, and all of the characters in our groups are LFR legal. This means they can move from DM to DM and group to group freely without balance problems and remain within a consistent game world.
This is done by making the campaigns provide wealth suitable to players of that level, and the stories work within a larger world narrative.
If you'd be interested in DMing a 3rd game, perhaps using LFR as well, I'd be happy to forward any new players to you :) Feel free to drop me or Floru a line if that sounds interesting to you XD
Funny you should mention that... I've been contempating getting my DM liscence myself... I've been with the RPGA for years now(almost a decade, wow) So I'd be interested...
Oh, and I just saw How to Train a Dragon today.. so I feel re-inspired XD
I've had my DM license for a year now and they have yet to record a single event I have ran or participated in. Wizards is halfassing it so I suggest Pathfinder Society over RPGA.
Awe... Chi didn't get to play T_T
