Hey! I'm just jumping on the furry bandwagon, but I've been drawing furries for more than 5 years. I have a fursona I'd LOVE to make into a fursuit, but I've never even made partials before! I'm familar with sewing, though. I've been hand sewing since I was 3-years-old (they had us all sewing in preschool, weird, eh?) and I made my first garment on a machine last year for Home Ec 10. It was a dress, and it's actually wearable! I gave it to my friend because it turned out too big for me.
Here's my fursona. I'd be so happy to have a complete fursuit of her, with the works, but I'll settle with partials until I get more practice.

She's going to be super hard to make a fursuit out of fo' sho'.
Any tips for a newbie?
OMGAWESOME!! xo That would be one EPIC fursuit for the win!!~
Thanks! I'm looking forward to having six rainbow tails hanging off of my butt. 8D
I'm going to try to raid Value Village for some DJ looking clothes and some big headphones to go with my partials.
I was also wondering, is it possible to move ears on a fur mask with your own ears? Because, I can move my real ears quite noticeably. :P
I've decided I'm not going to make a traditional fursuit, because those tend to be thick and floofy. I'm thinking I'll just make a close-fitting fur bodysuit and digitigrade the legs a little.

Lool, hooraay for raiding Value Village. CX As for the moving ears concept, I don't see how that is possible, unless you can find a way to make that happen, but what you can do is wire up a controller to some sort of mechanism inside the ears and control the movement of the ears with the controller, luul. But if you find a method where you can make your actual ears do the moving to the suit head then don't forget to tell me too, hahahh!XD
yay for multi-tailed butts! definitely have to meet sometime for a fursuit building group or something, as I know a few others around have expressed interest in learning and making partials and such.
That would be fun! I'd have to coral my parents into taking me, though, or, maybe I could go with someone from my school. There's a guy who says he wants to get into this too. Plus, my school might be looking into getting a mascot, and these fursuits look WAY better than any mascot costumes I've seen!
