Hello, howdy, heya, and in case I didn't see ya; good evening, afternoon, and good night!
My name's Spykr (Simon behind the screen), and I've been in Kelowna for close to 3 years now. After a lot of internal debate, I thought it was finally time to stop being so worried about nothing and try to break out of my shell a bit. I'm hoping to be able to meet some friendly folks, and possibly get a little more involved with the furry community; as large or limited as it may be in the Okanagan. I've never engaged in the furry fandom offline save for hanging out with a furry friend in Seattle while stuck on an 11-hour layover, but I will be going to Vancoufur 2016, and I'm looking forward to that! I've been hanging around the furry fandom for about 7-8 years now, mostly lurking until the past 4-5 years. Can't say I've got a fursona (tried figuring it a few times), but I represent myself by that bespectacled, hat-wearing cactus over there in my forum avatar. And no, the pun was not intentional!
Outside of an interest in many things anthropomorphic both large and small, I'm 21 years old, a bicycle mechanic and avid cyclist (mostly mountain biking, although gravel adventures and "road" biking has drawn my favor more recently), I enjoy hiking, running, a spot of video games now and then, slow cookers, tea, and pen & ink drawing. While I'm not technically a BC resident, or a Canadian for that matter (Southern California native up here for university), I'm living here more of the time than I'm not for the next couple years, so I hope that counts enough!
So yeah! Howdy!
Hey Spykr!
Welcome to the forums!
Hope you'll enjoy your stay and may see ya at VancouFUR :)
Thanks!
Something I probably should have tried to do ages ago, but there's no time like the present I suppose!
Welcome to the site!

It's not been too tough for the most part; LA gets fairly rainy winter/springs when we're not in a multi-year drought! It's sunny most of the time anyway, folks call it Kelownafornia for a reason I suppose!
greetings and welcome
yeah out of everywhere in BC I'd say Kelowna area gets the most sun
