I've tried every person I've known and nobody can help me with my suit problem. I'm out of options, depressed, broken hearted, and I know some choices are obviously going to be no (like Scribblefox)
I've asked everyone, they all say they can't help me.
My broken suit remains broken.
What is broken on it exactly?
Seam got opened to apply a patch. Patch still needs to be applied to a critical area on the face and another newly discovered one on the side where the seam likely can't be opened. The patch was on there at Howl, but then a revision to the patch's pattern needed to be done then the person working on it quit.
All professionals I've asked after the last person quit have turned down working on the repair.
Take this to a professional tailor. Ask them if they would mind helping you repair it and if they agree then take the suit into them. They are highly skilled at repairing such things it's all about if the suit weirded them our or not.
They only have set hours and won't take revisions for an answer. Placing the patch does involve fine tuning the shape and they are guaranteed not going to have time for that.
My mom's a semi-professional who worked in a sweatshop. She's never done fursuits before though. Not only that, she's taking as long as she wants which means I can only wait.
Depends where you live, and money talks.
I have nowhere near the personal skills to bargain someone that isn't willing into performing the fixes cause it's not traditional clothing. Tegir knows people, but again, the information overload and revision requirement will cause almost everyone I ask to quit.
I'm a terrible communicator and bargainer.
Okay, nobody can help me I guess... It's all back to no solution once again. My mom was occupied almost every single day of winter break so far for the major fix.
Edit: Is it really nobody has a solution to my problems? Is this just that unhelpable? Nobody wants to help at all?
I'm just that unhelpable, isn't it? I've now had ALL my plans for VF go south (rooming related) and had to cancel plans for Fur-Eh as well. It's just true then. Nobody can help me.
(for the room, I had a plan and a backup plan... The plan fell through and the backup plan fell through as well... Then on top of that, a third time I've lost room plans for VF.)
stop complaining. you got your suit before me, even though you were later in line, and my suit is now completely gone because our maker decided to disappear from planet Earth. All your whining makes me want to barf. :-X
Has she still not given you your suit?!? Wow. You know, a rat put me down regarding commissioning skills recently but this proves that in this instance, if not for the things happening the way they happened, I would've also never gotten the suit.
This rat now uses said example to warn people I'm a bad commissioner, and therefore a bad person.

It wasn't ripped. It was in the process of being fixed around the time I posted the first post in this thread, then that person got high and almost vandalized a best friend's house, causing me to fire him and came to all these issues trying to find a new person to fix it.
Someone on the mainland said no. Looked to someone on the island, they first said "shouldn't be too hard" then it turned into a no. Had to look to yet another 2 more people and that's where I'm going to leave the story to avoid jinxing it.
Still have no one talk to me about staying in a room at VF. That's actually more the concern right now.
