hello and welcome.. you didn't state where you are located so it is a little difficult to help other than to say watch the calendar for upcoming events and then attend them. tuesday sushi is a good start. when a new face is spotted many will say hello. other options are private events so it might be best to ask if you can attend.
Howl is coming up so make sure you attend that.
