I know how that sounds but no, not what I mean. x3
I've commissioned a lot of people to draw my fursona Cassidy and most miss the mark I'm going for which is provocative without seeming like...a slut basically.
And I'm an artist myself so I've been wanting to actually draw my fursona myself for a while now. But every attempt seems to just...fail. Fail at being pretty, sexy, provocative, or anything other than trash.
This is the best commission I've gotten done to what I'm hoping to do:

Here's my best drawing in my opinion:

I've been practicing anthros and poses and anatomy for well over a year and while that's nowhere near a life time of experience, I've gone that whole time basically with posting nothing to my FA nor my dA other than the experimental pic or two which flops.
I'd really like to just...wow people and myself by drawing something for my fursona that makes a mark and defines her.
So...any help?
The problem with making requests is that much of what you provide for details is up to the artist to interpret. Asking for a character to have a "provocative" or "sexy" appearance will mean many different things to different people, and many artists, when given that kind of description to work with, will invariably come dangerously close to depicting the character as a slut or trash as a result.
Thus, careful wording is key in those circumstances.
While I'm not much help when it comes to the artwork itself, what you really want to do is think in terms of body shapes, expressions and postures that best describe what you see as "provocative", "sexy", or what have you. Subjective adjectives such as "provocative" and "sexy" are too malleable a description for the client to expect the commissioned individual to interpret as intended.
EDIT: Admittedly, much of what I just said was a tautology, but the point can't be emphasized enough - be clear and concise.
For practicing proportions and perspectives, or maybe just to get you out of a rut and try something new, do the grid thing.
Lots of classic painters used a form of this technique.
Take this:

And paste it on top of a photo or pose you adore or like the concept of.

Make the same style of grid on your paper, doesn't have to be precise measurement, it may just be the width of your ruler ;-) but keep it consistent.
This will give you a base of proportions and a view of perspective. Just after trying a few of these types of drawings, you should have a better grasp of the human form.
And with this method you can try it on any pose:

Eventually...you won't need the grid.
