It took me about two dozen songs and a long while of staring at this blank canvas before I could come up with the words to write. I've never been good at introductions as I'm sure many people aren't but, now is a good a time as any. I won't bother with the basics, my name is my username, my location is on my profile, and while we could get into my spiritual beliefs perhaps it's better not to start an argument with my first post.
Who am I and why am I here? Perhaps I'm searching for some counsel or just someone to talk to. My motives aren't clear to me yet. I was referred by another, although I haven't spoken to that individual since the referral. I come bearing no ill will, and only seek to manifest my passion for furry culture and beliefs. After being alone for so long, you sort of get used to the silence, but even the strongest of minds have a weakness.
I am in no way new to the furry "culture", I am only new to the community aspect of it. I've never been very open with anyone about it but, this is a good a place as any, I hope. If you recognize my username it's probably because you've seen it before. Yes, I am everywhere. I'm into Video Games, Photography, Fantasy, and most importantly.. Music.

I had feared that most people would skip over my post :P It seems I was not wrong. Thanks for the welcome, anyways.
*wiggles a clawed hand in greeting* Greetings and welcome to the forums, Zaralyth. I hope you enjoy your time spent here.
My curiosity is piqued at the following statement of yours:

the last of the interests/hobbies being the subject of my curiosity. Are you by any chance a musician or just a music enthusiast?
Hello there, please to make your acquaintance.
Do you have a steam? I play games when I get the time, quite big into some shooters (Tf2 comes to mind) and a whole lot of fantasy in the mix there, I live and breathe that stuff. Making a guess here; are you a dragon? That would explain a lot :3.
Anyways, welcome to the family!

Thanks! I really appreciate the warm welcomes. A future here seems bright, so I believe I will most definitely enjoy my time :)

Both, actually. I focus equally on performance as well as my musicianship as an educator, an editor, and an enthusiast. My editing tastes focus on mastering movie sessions (for my own personal enjoyment), and my listening tastes lie in the same place, along with video game soundtracks, electronic music, some modern indie music, and oldies, such as pre-1990's. I take great pride in my talents of Mastering audio and in my collection of music as a whole. Music has always had a very big influence in my life. I wouldn't be here today without it and I dare not venture into the divine beyond without it as such.

I do! My steam username is zaralith_, display name is Zaralyth

Yes. I could go into great detail about this subject. In short, my spiritual beliefs amalgamate Therian and Otherkin practices, wherein my past (and first) life was a Dragon, of which said Dragon soul is now in this human body. One day I hope to spread my wings again.
Cool! Mind if I add you?

You're quite welcome fellow dragon-kin. ^.=.^
Sounds like you have taken your passion and turned it into a career, kudos. I used to do editing/mastering, vocals & bass for a short lived industrial band here on the coast when I was a teenager. Then for years after that I had limited success as a electronic music producer. Nowadays I spend the majority of my time noodling about on my guitars and keyboard. I do it primarily for my own personal enjoyment though, as music is very much a passion for myself as well.

It is a passion but it is not a career for me. I just do it for fun and for others to enjoy! :) I don't have any formal training in the matter, so I am entirely self taught, and usually "self-taught" doesn't look good on a resume. So until I can go to school to get a degree for something I already know, it won't ever be a career. Or at least not one I can live off of. But perhaps I don't want it to be one. I love doing these things for fun. Having to do it for work would take the fun and passion out of it ;)

Ah my mistake, I read the educator part of your initial reply as "I teach music skills to young people" in my mind. So yeah sorry about that. The only instruments I was formally trained in for performances are: the Piano and an assortment of woodwind instruments. Otherwise, I am self taught for everything else, haha. Oh I don't know about that, the majority of my friends/family that do make a living out of their music (be it metal/punk/R&B or something else entierly) they all have a blast while doing so. :P

I do educate people, just not in a money-making sense ;) I have been playing Tenor Saxophone for 8 years, and want to learn the Cello, Dizi and Erhu some day.
More dragonkin, and of the island no less!
Welcome welcome. Seems like a couple fellow kin have popped up around here as a late. I reside in Duncan myself and would always like to get to know some more island folk!

My heart is open as is my schedule. I love getting to know new people, considering I haven't got many around who are actually furries. I am overwhelmed by the amount of kindness I'm getting here. Honestly wasn't expecting this, but I really appreciate it! I had no idea about this site until a few days ago when a friend recommended me to it!
It is also always nice to meet other Dragons ~
Hiya Dragon~! ;3

Hello to you too! :33
Hey there.

Have we met before? ...nah :P
Welcome to the club! It's a warm place where mostly everyone is pretty chill. There are a lot of local hangouts where you are that as I said previously I can show you too. As long as you don't mind a bit of a bus or car ride, its a pretty close knit community.

I'll keep you in touch, next meeting is probably this weekend or some evening this week.
